“One of the best Super 8's I Have Stayed at!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

I do a lot of cross-country driving and frequently stay at Super 8 Motels. This property in St. Regis is one of the cleanest, nicest, best decorated, and most comfortable of the Super 8's I have ever stayed in. Only problem is that they use the same awful pillows that most of the Super 8's use. Get better pillows and this place would be flawless!

“Bugged by response”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2011

I stayed here with a fishing buddy en route from Kelly Creek to the St. Joe's River. The hotel is basic, adequate, reasonably clean, reasonably comfortable--pretty much what one would expect for the price. What I didn't expect was to wake up early morning with two half-dollar size welts on my face, apparently from bug bites from some creature sharing my pillow. Ok, things happen, it was uncomfortable and I was concerned and thought the motel management would want to know. I reported the incident when we went to breakfast and the response was that "we haven't had this problem here before," and "we have regular pest control inspections." Ok, fine, but there was no apology or regret expressed whatsoever. When checking out I stopped again at the front desk to make sure they were taking the situation seriously. The person on duty assured me they were, and when I told her which bed was affected (my buddy had no problems), she made a note of it. But shouldn't that information have been requested in the beginning? I think they'll probably check into it but I'm still bugged by the lack of an apology. I was reasonable, I didn't request any compensation, but I did expect something like "we're sorry this happened, sir."

“Average, bad parking”

This was an average Super 8, standard room, standard breakfast, but parking is bad. Have to carry luggage quite a ways to get to room no matter where you park. I also thought a little pricey for quality of room

“Parking was good for the moving truck. It was easy in and easy out”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2011

There was no internet during our overnight stay. The woman at the desk gave us directions to a restaurant down the road – to sit in the parking lot to use their WiFi. “Everybody does it.” That, and her insincere, sing-song “sorry…” made me question whether the outage was truthfully temporary or not….
The hotel had a tiny spot for breakfast and the very minimum offered. True, it was “free.” The room was clean and comfortable. Our room was in a building with no smoking. The other building smelled like stale smoke! It was nice to have them separated by a good doorway. The refrigerator in our room didn’t seem to be working, although it was running. The hotel did have plenty of ice.
Parking was good for the moving truck. It was easy in and easy out.
Upon check-in we received a coupon for a discount at a near-by restaurant. We didn’t try it. There was a very busy burger place across the street – with wonderful huckleberry milkshakes! If we go through St. Regis again we will stop for the milkshakes, if nothing else.
