This was our fourth time staying at the Chateau Rouge in recent years, and while we had a good time and found our unit acceptable, it was not of the same quality as other units we've had at this facility--esp. for a $150/nt. unit. As other reviewers have noted, your satisfaction may depend on your specific room, as the Chateau Rouge is really a collection of individually owned condos which are leased out as motel rooms. Thus, it's up to individual condo owners to keep their places up...or not, as was the case with our 2BR, 2-floor unit, #215. Ours had all the right amenities, but also plastic blinds that didn't quite work, a stained section of low-grade carpet, low-budget furnishings, and DIY plumbing. Given the scenic beauty just outside, you won't want to spend much time indoors, but when you do, it would be more enjoyable with better furnishings and finishing.
