“hot/cold. cold won”
We have stayed at the Broadway many times, as we live within a few hours and love to visit Philipsburg. We always had a charming, cozy time. Until the last visit. We chose to travel there for my young son's birthday. Just as he was opening his big, exciting present, we were interrupted to be told how to turn out the main lights (we stayed there so often, we knew, but we were not remembered, and the timing was very, very thoughtless. Just walked up and started talking, not even an apology for interrupting, or waiting for a few minutes). The objects chosen to decorate the walls in our room were perfect and endearing, except that they were covered in dust. We were so disappointed by this last visit, it ruined our other, better experiences there and we won't stay again. Also, I was always bothered by the way too strong smell from the detergent on the sheets. Others weren't bothered by it, but it drove me crazy, and I got in the habit of bringing my own pillow case to use.
One last thing, if you are looking for peace and quiet, this isn't it either. The wood floors and door gaps let you hear everything outside your room very clearly. This didn't bother me, but it might bother some, especially if you like to sleep in a bit, as you can definitely hear breakfast time from about every room in the hotel.

Hi: I am sorry your last experience at the hotel was not a good one. If I had realized some of your concerns at the time I would have really tried to remedy the problems you were experiencing. Please accept my apologies for a weekend that was not up to your expectations.
Sincerely,
Sue.
