Just needed a place to sleep on way home from Glacier NP. The desk clerk gave us a discount (maybe because it was 11:30 p.m.). There were still cookies available at that hour, even. It was clean and quiet and the shower was one of the best in any place we've stayed. The room was a little bit small trying to walk between the beds and the TV set up but fine for a one night stay. It would be a great place to stay if you were visiting the U of Montana as it was right across the river and it was so reasonably priced--especially since breakfast was included.

We have stayed here numerous times. Always quiet and clean. Breakfast in the morning is a nice bonus. Great view of the river or mountains. Would stay here again and again!

I had read the reviews prior to our vacation and was prepared for trains and commercial views. Sunday morning was cool and overcast but the view of the mountains with lingering snow, low clouds and the river was great. I heard the whistle of one train during our stay was about 1700, hardly worth mentioning. The room was very nice and the large thick bath towels, yea. During our trip thru western MT we stayed at various types of motels/hotels/cabins, the weekend stay at Holiday Inn was the best, quiet (we bunked on the fourth floor) handy location for main roads, dowtown (we know our way around Missoula and knew to avoid the busy side that has the malls etc.) and finding Hwy 12/93 without to much difficulty. Go downtown on Saturday AM for Farmers Mkt. and street fair with vendors and people viewing, Montana Club for rib eye steaks, and Famous Daves for ribs. One caveat I despise the motels that have a 1500 or later check-in and HIE was a 1600 check-in we arrived and the place was empty at 1550!!! Still a great value.

We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay in Missoula at Holiday Inn Express!! The General Manager, Mary, was truly accommodating and went out of her way to make our stay pleasant. As in most Holiday Inn Express motels, breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Who could pass up the warm cookies that greeted us?
