We stayed in the off season--January. The price was only $ 55, but I thought the room was definitely in need of renovation. The mattresses seemed hard and bare bones, there were a few things that were a little dirty, and the curtains in both of the rooms I was in were in need of repair.

We stayed here because we had driven over Highway 12 in a blizzard and were beat. Otherwise would have pressed on home. The night clerk was friendly enough, until he decided that we needed 2 beds instead of one. He didn't get the concept that we were a gay couple, and kept insisting that a double bed room was “only a few dollars more”. He grumbled and shook his head when we insisted that one bed was perfectly fine.
We also got the "safe in room" charge, when I protested that he said "Hey I am giving you a good rate on a double bed if you WANT it, so the safe isn't anything". I was so tired, I quit trying to explain it all to him.
Three of the 4 lamps in the room had burnt-out bulbs. The bed spread was atrocious, like it hadn't ever been washed. Sheets were clean. Bathroom was clean. Towels were skimpy but fine, what you expect at these prices.
We had a room facing Highway 93, pretty loud road noise. I would recommend (if you HAD to stay) getting a rear room.
They DO allow pets, which is important for those of us who travel with pets. We understand that if you have pets, you usually have to give up on some of the nicer aspects and be happy with basic rooms and service. This place was a couple steps below basic service.

The rate was great. The room was mostly great. Some dark curly hairs (which I just brushed out) in bed and the room was freezing. I don't mean a bit chilly, I mean freezing! The bathroom never warmed up. I had to run and come out with toes hurting they were so cold. Bed was a bit hard for my liking. They also do not offer king-sized beds and I am married to a tall person. One more towel would have been nice in the bathroom.

Did not partake in breakfast. The owners/desk staff were friendly enough. Everyone greeted us with a smile.

Very friendly to dog owners, large kitchen suite for minimal $. Has WiFi.

Although not fancy, this was a GREAT launch pad for exploring the area. The hotel manager helped us to know where to go including hikes, the natural food store (we are gluten free eaters), hot springs, the best visitor centers and other local information.

We upgraded to a suite with a kitchen which was very roomy. Cooking and kitchen gear was hodge-podge and minimal, but we got by well enough.

Cell Phone Note: Sprint phone didn't work anywhere in the Missoula area at all, luckily our T-Mobile phone did so we could keep in touch!
