“Very freindly staff, room was OK”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 March 2011

I arrived late in the day and the gentleman at the front desk was really nice. Once I got past the lobby the place looked fairly outdated. I will say it was reasonably clean, but really looked like it needed an update. I ate in the restaurant next door, and the food was good but kind of pricey. I found it a little confusing that I actually had to go outside in the cold to go into the restaurant, since the doors were right next to each other, and it looked like a door had been coverred over in between the two entrances. The lady who checked me out was also very nice. I do wish they had an express check-out. I will stay there again, as it is reasonably nice for the price and fits into the budget I am given for business travel.

“some problems with staffing,cleaning,smelly bathroom”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2010

Check in was quite long with only one employee available to handle 5-6 people waiting to check in. The desk woman was pleasant, calm, and handled each check in individually. Noone came to assist her. The bathroom was smelly of mold, mildew,, urine? Room was livable if bathroom door stayed shut.Morning staff manager discounted the room and apologized, was very concerned over the smell. Hotel has done a lot to achieve improvement awards.Overall the hotel is fine for coming and going to Glacier. Beware of the breakfast lady, not a morning person. But the breakfast and breakfast area was very nice. Ran into a worker in Spokane,WA who stayed a lot in this hotel and was surprised about the bathroom. Stated it was the only place in Kalispell he would stay. Bathroom problem was probably a rare lapse in quality.

“Clean no frills hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2010

Was pleasantly surprised as this hotel was about my 4th choice in the area. Nice employees, clean and fairly spacious rooms. Free breakfast is basic but adequate.
Non smoking room did not smell of smoke which is a big bonus when considering the small town location. Price was in the lower middle range of the area.Located in an area of town that is currently being developed, but still only about a 10 minute drive to restaurants galore.

“Good value; spacious room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2010

We have driven from PA and found this to be one of the best we've stayed in. It is not too far from the west entrance to Glacier, but priced "cheaper" than Whitefish area. We found the rooms to be quiet, clean and VERY spacius. Our king bed was firm..the way we enjoy. The staff was very accomodating. Breakfast was more than adequate...hot and cold cereal, yogurts, muffins, toast, bagels, fresh fruit, make your own waffles, coffee and juices.

“Nothing to write home about”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2010

While we had no particular problems or complaints, this hotel was not a stand-out on our recent 2500 mile road trip, which included stays in 11 motels. It was near the bottom of our list in memorability and at the top in expense, but that was probably because of its proximity to Glacier National Park. This hotel was one of the first on the road into Kalispell, which makes farthet to the Park. It also seems that this end of Kalispell has been hardest hit by the recession - many of the nearby restaurants, stores and gas stations were out-of-business. We found the staff to be friendly and efficient enough. The hotel is older but was in good and clean condition. It has interior corridors, but no elevator - definately didn't appreciate having to lug heavy bags up a flight of the stairs to our second story room.. The room was clean and spacious. In fact, we were pleasantly surprised to find that our room with two beds was actually a 2-bedroom, 1 bath suite which gave our adult son one night's welcome respite from his parents' snoring. But the view was of the trash cans. Complimentary breakfast was pretty skimpy - no hot foods, except a waffle maker. But it is surprising that there was a free breakfast at all as there was an onsite restaurant. We did not dine there - so cannot comment. One nice touch was free freshly popped popcorn available in the lobby all day. There was also a small casino within the hotel, but we did not use, so can't comment.
