“Satisfactory and That's Before the Upgrades”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Stayed here in late July 2011. It is an older facility; however, our stay was very satisfactory. There was no micro/frig in the room, but the room rate included a complimentary, made-to-order breakfast (from among select entrees and one beverage per person) at the attached full-service restaurant. Free Wifi VERY slow, but one computer available in an area adjacent to the lobby where service was fast.

At the time of our visit, the lighting in the hallways was inadequate and the dark wall color accentuated the dimness; it was to the point of being unsafe. The room itself was satisfactory. The view out the window was of a roof; so we kept our curtains closed.

At checkout, I made mention of our objections. The desk clerk explained that the facility was slated to undergo renovations in the coming months. In accessing its website in January 2012, a number of upgrades have been done. Check it out.

One deficiency that Jorgenson's cannot correct is the hotel's location near an indoor shopping mall (one of the reasons we chose Jorgenson's) which we discovered had at least 50% vacancy rate. There were no anchor stores, just a very modest-sized JC Penney's and a Claire's and some privately-run shops. Appearance from the exterior very distressed, too.

Thanks for telling us how we did! Plus, thanks for helping identify all the work we're putting into our renovations. Bright hallways, new Beautyrest mattresses, LED TV's, new furniture and a fridge and microwave in every room! We've even worked on increasing our WiFi speed and bandwidth. We hope you can come back and check out all the improvements!

“Poor service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

I booked this hotel only for the airport shuttle, but then almost missed my flight because there wasn't one. It was a good thing we had a backup plan, but I don't recommend staying here if you are depending on their shuttle.

My apologies about the shuttle not being available for you on New Year’s Day. We provide 24hr shuttle service anywhere in town and I apologize that, in the absence of a shuttle driver, the taxi service was delayed and caused you concern and inconvenience.

I'm sorry the bed was too hard. We are currently renovating our rooms and have brand new Beautyrest Mattresses in our rooms. While I can't guarantee them to be exactly what you're wanting, I hope they offer a more comfortable sleep for you...

“Indoor Pool? I dont think so.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

The room was clean and nice. The breakfast was wonderful. (Gotta love made to order eggs.) But the pool was more of a flooded basement. The "heated" pool was cold and water dripped from the ceiling from all the condensation. The floor around the pool was wet and disgusting. If you want to swim, dont stay here.

Yep, you're right. The pool isn't really great right now. Our dehumidifier is broken (thus, all the condensation) and while the pool is at 86 degrees, it feels colder from the high humidity. We hoped that our guests would appreciate the pool being open, rather than closing it simply because of the humidity. We're working to replace the dehumidifier and address other issues during our upcoming winter renovations, but at least the pool is open. Thanks for your comments and we're happy the rest of your stay was pleasant, especially fresh, cooked to order eggs!

“Great place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

We enjoyed our stay here. We got rides to and from the airport, great suggestions on places to go in town, all the staff was friendly and helpful, and the free breakfast is the best of any place we have ever stayed. The only negative is that our room was hot when the air conditioning was off, even though it was cool outside and we had our window open, but cold if the air conditioning was on. We were in the "west building" and would maybe try a room in a different section next time.
