While this is not a 5-star on most charts--it's probably listed as a 2- or 3-star because it is very affordable. The staff was always friendly and accomodating. The rooms are very clean and the bed was excellent--I thought I was sleeping on a firm cushy pillow--very comfortable and clean. The mission of this hotel is cleaninest--they inspect rooms everyday. So slobs and messy people should stay away. But, I like clean rooms and this place operates like a cruise ship. Downsides--I can't think of any. I stayed for a full week over Thanksgiving 2011 (Nov 2011). They have a hot tub, which was in-service at the time... but that's okay--I didn't need to use it. The absolute best thing was the breakfast--They give you tickets which you fill out. The pancakes are to die for. . they make the eggs as you like them. .. They have hot spiced cider 24-7.. coffees.. teas.. EVERYTHING. I'm kinda of dieting, but I didn't have their great home cook food every morning.. I did get the oatmeal and used the hot spiced cider to flavor and cook my oats--they were perfect. And, of course they have lots of toasts and muffins. It's located at a good spot along Prospect Avenue and there is all kinds of fast food restaurants. But Jorgenson Hotel, which is a block away has FABUALOUS FOOD.. you also have to ride the Carousel, at the Carousel Ice Cream Shop, which had a mind boggingly selection of ice cream--I enjoyed the Licorous. And, the Montana beef is wonderful. So, if you're looking for places to stay, I recommend the Day's Inn.. It was a very economical, but centerally located hotel that was very acceptable for me.
Room Tip: I smoke--they do have smoking rooms. But they are limited and in the far back. So if you check in...
