Glendive, Montana Comfort Inn is deteriorating, dirty, and way overpriced. There are few higher end hotels available in this part of the country. The hotel was 100 percent full the night we stayed. Perhaps having a captive audience makes the hotel management sit on their laurels. The staff was extremely unprofessional in manner and dress. The lobby consists of a couch and computer desk with computer stuffed in a little corner. The pool water looked quite murky. We chose not to go near it. The non-smoking room was at one end of the hall, with smoking rooms at the other end. This made for a very smelly hallway. All of our clothes reeked when we left the hotel. We had to clean the bathroom floor ourselves as it was visibly dirty. The spartan dining area was small and cramped, with few offerings (2 cereal choices: Fruit Loops and Raisin Bran). If we had paid 1 star hotel prices, we might have been more understanding. However, having paid 3-4 star prices made us expect more. If you must spend the night in far eastern Montana, try the Days Inn next door. It at least appears newer on the outside.
