The Imperial Inn portrays itself on the website as a well-run, clean hotel. It is old, unclean, and run by people who made us want to deadbolt our door at night - but the deadbolt didn't work. The hotel might be worth $30 a night, but definitely not the rate they are charging. The room was stuffy, stale, and smelled like smoke (even though it was non-smoking) and the supposedly new air conditioning didn't work correctly.

The Imperial Inn in Bozeman,MT. was one of the worst Hotels I ever stayed at.
My wife and I stayed there on 8-4 through 8-5-06.
It wasn't good!!!
First of all the toilet looked horrible.
It was all black at the bottom as if someone had taken a snake after it and ruined the porcalin.
The bathroom floor had black stains on it.
The bed was hard as a brick.
Plus the towels were never changed one the whole time we were there.
They barely made an effort to clean the room at all.
All that was done was a half baked job at making the bed.
There was only two big towels and a small number of smaller towels.
Two big towels is not enough for two people.
There should have been at least two big towels for each person and a decent wash rag for each person.
The only two good things were that it was located in town and the lobby help was courtiuos.
The room was real tiny.
If you have more then two people with you rent multiple rooms.
I strongly suggest that you don't stay here!!!!

If the thought of stained pillow-cases, sheets, and ceilings in the bathroom thrills you to no end, then by all means book a room here now.

Otherwise, stay elsewhere like the Best Western a few blocks away. Trust me. It may be 'right downtown' but other options are worth it if you'd like a sound sleep. I highly doubt this place has seen an update since 1952...and it hasn't aged well.

I stayed here in December - great experience! - since then, they've lost their very fine managers and now it's the pits! I don't know when the toilet was last cleaned! It's in a great location, but NOT worth it!
