I booked a night in this hotel despite average reviews on this site. Orbitz had slightly better reviews. I was in Bismarck, ND on my way home to Canada. We decided to extend our stay in the US another day and drive the 420 miles to Billings instead of heading right back to Canada. A big mistake.
We arrived at the hotel by around noon. We saw the big WATERPARK OPEN sign from I94 and got pretty excited. We hyped this place up to my 7 year old son the whole way from Bismarck. We arrived and inquired about early check-in. The front desk lady then says `you do know the waterpark is not open, right?
I had spent at least an hour on the Big Horn site and the site of the waterpark. We looked for the hours and checked over and over and didn`t see any signs of it only being open from Thursday to Sunday as we then found out. A lady working in the back (perhaps a Manager) heard the goings on and was pretty ignorant to us, pretty much pouring salt on the wounds by advising us that we should have checked the calendar on the site closer. It was not very visible, especially on my iPad.
Needless to say, this was the first and last time I`ll stay here. It seems like a nice place, but based on the reviews I feel the Management is pretty weak here. We stayed at a local Hilton Garden Inn instead, and luckily my son was a good sport and made due with the pool at the Hilton. Had we known the waterpark was not open, we would have done something else. Luckily the Hilton made it all better. They know how to treat their guests, at least in Billings!
I would not recommend this place and I will never take a chance on them again.

Thank you for your review. I am so sorry we could not accommodate your family's needs. Our park follows the Billings school schedule for winter openings as it does not pay to have a facility that large open if there is not a demand for it. I checked our web site and the day you were searching for information is the day that our new calendar was being installed to make the search more user friendly. I apologize for this down time and I hope this new tool will make it easier for families such as yours to navigate our site, as well we have added a mobile site that will be easier for you to display.
