“Ski-in/ski-out, fireplaces & clean rooms!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

You walk into the lodge and there are awesome wood burning fireplaces in each of the lounge areas. Its the perfect place to warm up after a day on the slopes. Everyone on staff was friendly and went out of their way to make sure that our trip was the best it could be. The room was clean and large enough for two queen beds, a table with chairs and all of our luggage for the week. It was a must to use the humidifier in the room...it made a huge difference! I also liked the free breakfast each morning that included a made to order omelet stand, hot choices and a nice fruit selection. All and all this is a great place to stay for the money and well worth a trip back!

“Awesome lodge at Big Sky”

Great location in the beautiful resort. The rooms were clean and spacious and the humidifyer was much-needed. Great free breakfast. Loved it.

“Short stay on the slopes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Hotel was okay, little dated with quirky furnishings, however was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. We thought we were getting a room with 2 double beds, however we got a 1 bedroom with en-suite, a separate bathroom and kitchen and a double bed which pulled out of the wall.
The location was good as it was central with lifts virtually outside the door. We had buffet breakfast included in our stay which was okay. We stayed 2 nights here until we moved to powder ridge cabins which we shared with other people. For the cost of the rooms it was good value.

“Quality experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Although the Huntley Lodge is older, it has been well maintained and continues to offer a great skiing experience. You can ski in right to the back door next to the dining room, although you have to walk a short distance to the lift. The staff is super in every way!!! The breakfast buffet is the best we have ever had at a ski area - truly something for everyone. There is some noise in the hallway because of the wood construction, but it was not a problem for the most part. One Saturday night, there was a great deal of noise because of several raucous parties, but after notifying the front desk, every room was given a complimentary bottle of wine and an apology. That told me that Big Sky cares about its guests. This is a great place for anyone to stay while enjoying the lift-free lines of Big Sky. A great place to ski. It is important to realize that you are sleeping at 7300 feet elevation, so if altitude sickness is a problem for you, then you should prepare for it. I was able to get over the symptoms in about 24 hours without medication.

Room Tip: Ask for "mountain side" so you can see what's happening on the mountain

“Ski-in/Ski-out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

The hotel is convenient for making the most of the mountain during your stay. Literally being at the foot of the chairlifts, allows you to walk out the door and jump on for a wonderful day on the slopes. We have only rented a room with a loft, which provides two semi-separate sleeping areas, and found that to be a spacious option for us. This is a hotel room, and has no cooking facilities. Since these units are on the top floor, noise from other rooms was nonexistent. They serve an incredible breakfast buffet in their dining room! You probably won't need lunch. Reasonably priced, so you can afford to eat out at one of the local restaurants at the end of your day.

Room Tip: I recommend the loft room.
