What a wonderful honeymoon! We stayed in cabin 5. We couldn't exactly ski right off the front porch, but the slopes were only a couple of cabins away. The views of the Spanish peaks were fantastic. The cabin was well furnished, and came with everything we needed for our stay including coffee, a washer/dryer, and down comforters. We have rented cabins before, but this was the first time we had ever had housekeeping. They even washed our dirty dishes!
The skiing wan't very good due to early seson conditions. The staff at Moonlight Basin wasn't very knowledgeable about which runs were groomed and or open, which led to me almost getting hit by a grooming machine and having to hike back up a run. Other than that, we had a great time.
I would definitely recommend renting your skis from the bottom of the mountain where the prices were 15dollars as opposed to 35-40 dollars at the resort. The Timbers is great for a gourmet dinner, and you cannot stay in Big Sky without eating at Bucks! The bison was excellent.
Another highlight was snowmobiling through Yellowstone, even though Old Faithful is not nearly as impressive in the winter.
