“Do you like trains? This is the place for you!”

I feel their check-in associate was not fast enough. First she had trouble finding the reservation so I ended up calling the travel agency to re-fax my confirmation. The room cleanness was okay however I could not sleep through out the night because this hotel is very close to the train tracks. Those long american goods trains just kept me up almost all night. The management should have put noise reducer in all the room. You guys need training on making coffee, it was very strong.

Dear RachelBML,

I would like to apologize for your unpleasant stay at the Greenstay Hotel & Suites . I happen to be a light sleeper as well and can imagine how a restless night sleep with the constant sound of trains can make you feel the next morning. We do have some rooms much farther down on the east wing that are quieter. I also am sorry about the coffee, i know everyone makes theirs a little different, but I will do my best to make sure that everyone tries to keep the it the same. As for your check-in service I am sorry you had to wait so long. We always receive the online reservations through fax, and I have had some instances where they would forget to send the fax through, and it can be a long process before we get the reservation, I am sorry. A hotel is defined by the quality of service that it provides to its guests. Because our success is measured by how our guests evaluate our services and facilities, I want you to know that the comments and suggestions we receive are taken seriously. They tell us what we are doing right, what we are doing wrong and how we can improve. Your willingness to share your recent experience is very much appreciated. I assure you that the issues you have raised have been review and actions have been taken. I hope that you will give us another chance the next time you are in Springfield.

“Excellent value for the money!!!!! :)”

Me and a Friend stayed here on vacation in June 2011. I scoured the net for a great hotel with pool and Breakfast at a great price. I found this one and was glad I did. It was an excellent hotel for that price range. The fitness/Laundry room was huge!!!!! It even had a full weight machine!!! The ceilings were at least 20 ft tall and there were lots of windows making it very bright and airy. The Breakfast was awesome too!!! It had the usual fare plus a rotating hot selection everyday. The Gravy and Biscuits were sooooo good!!!!! They also did belgian waffles. This place is also very eco friendly. It has alot of Green features like the toilets and such. They encourage recycling and energy conservation. It also has a business center with two nice computers and a printer. Another nice feature was that the rooms have a full bathroom and another sink area outside them.I would definitely consider staying here again.

“Great stay!”

I was very impressed with my time at Greenstay. I chose it based on the reviews which sounded almost too good to be true. However, I found it exactly as reported. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more accomodating. I feel very confident to recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

“Average hotel, average service, little hospitality”

Compared to national chains, it lacks in quality of breakfast(fruit cocktail instead of fresh fruit) hospitality of front desk, pride in product (white bed covers are a very dingy white, almost beige- hallways smelled of smoke). Very average!

“Best value, friendly, great service, we highly recommend”

We selected this hotel on Priceline. We did not know much about this property or the name. We are Hilton Honors members and often stay at Hilton owned hotels. It offered what we were looking for and it exceeded our expectations. Clean and comfortable. Very friendly. I saw a guest come to the front desk and ask to purchase stamps. The clerk "gave" him stamps he needed. These folks are very accommodating. They even had sack breakfasts ready for those who were needing something to eat very early hours before the breakfast was all set up. And speaking of the breakfast. It was top notch. It had everything you could possible ask for. If any negative comment I would say it is that there is no elevator so if you need one better get a room on 1st floor. Also trains run a few blocks away and we did hear it at one time about 3am. Oh there is no doubt we would stay here again. I promise you this is the best deal in town.

Room Tip: If you have a disability, book early and get a ground level room. There is no elevator.

Dear James K,

I want to think you for the great review. My staff and I pride ourselves on exceptional guest services and want everyone who stays with us to feel like they are at home. I took note that you really enjoyed our breakfast, I feel our breakfast is everything you could get at a restaurant at no extra cost to our guests, which can be very helpful to family's traveling on a budget. I did notice your comment about there being no elevators and we are trying to work on that, and i do apologize for the train. I know it can be an convenience when trying to sleep, but i hope that if you stay with us next time we can put you on the opposite end so you will not so close to it. We look forward to your next stay with us and if my staff or I can do anything please let us know.
