The website for this B and B was great, lots of pictures, easy to navigate, lots of information, links to magazine articles, but the inn does not live up to the website. The innkeeper was friendly, but it was difficult to find a room that was acceptable. The public rooms were in fairly good condition and clean, but all the bedroooms we saw were in poor condition. The rooms are in need of much refurbishment. The carpets were very worn, paint chipped on the walls, sinks were chipped, wallpaper falling off the walls, burned out light bulbs, broken tiles in the bathroom, outdated tvs and fixtures. The in room coffee pot was on top of the vcr in a closet. Didn't seem safe. If we hadn't already given our credit card info, I would not have stayed here. Very poor value. The breakfast was OK and the server very polite. We would not recommend this inn. Very poor value.

Our stay here was awesome! From the moment we stepped into the quaint and charming house, we knew this was going to be a great stay. Our room was well furnished, sheets and covers were warm and cozy, fireplace was great! Everything work very well and was twice as good as any hotel or motel. We will make this place our home several times a year and cant wait to book again. Don't plan to stay anywhere else.

What a perfect place to enjoy the holiday season with your loved ones.

We were in Springfield, MO for our daughter's Senior Recital at Missouri State University. The inn is 1 block off campus, so the location was perfect. But, even better than the location, is the sense of "getaway" you get when you walk in. You truly feel like you leave the rest of the world outside. And, the owner and staff were extremely friendly, and the breakfast was outstanding! We will definitely be back.
