I had business in Springfield for 4 days, possibly 7 so I gambled on staying at the Value Place hotel to possibly save some money. The rooms were $200ish per week.

I loved this place. It was really really clean, well maintained and quiet. I stayed for the whole week and never heard commotion. I discovered the laundry room on the first floor and did some laundry while I was there. The washing machines and dryers worked perfectly. My room was on the second floor.

It can be a little difficult to get to. You see it from the freeway but access to it is a little tough the first time. It is worth the effort.

The people are friendly and easy to get along with.

It is a little different form a normal hotel. They do not have someone at the front desk late into the night. You are inventoried in and out because there are utensils and things in your room like cutting boards, etc and you do not get daily maid service.

I chose to pay $10 for Internet service for the week. It was worth it. It was wired Internet, not wifi, which his faster and more secure, but you need a cable. I had to go to Walmart a few miles away to buy one.

Stay here. You can thank me later.

This dump is a RIP OFF!

Rooms are cleaned only after two weeks! That’s right. No clean sheets for two weeks! The extremely slow speed internet costs extra. Guests have to provide their own toilet paper and plastic bags for the trash cans. The huge diesel trash trucks show up around 2 A.M. and make sufficient noise to wake the dead. The so called kitchens don’t have dishes, flatware or a garbage disposal. The bed is nothing more than a thin, lumpy mattress resting on a wooden frame. The bed sheets have a texture like sandpaper.

Our room had lots of big spiders and cockroaches. The tv’s are ancient tube types with horrible reception. Several of the channels have exactly the same programming. Entry doors on both ends of the building have no shelter and the roof gables dump rainwater directly on anyone attempting to use the doors. During a rainstorm our room leaked water around the window and soaked our belongings.

The front desk is closed from 6 P.M. until 9 A.M. There are no overnight security personnel and the cameras are only on the first floor. So, after management leaves the premises, the parties begin. Lots of apparent marijuana smoke coming from the upper floors.

Melody the manager was so rude not only to us but to other guests as well! You can find much more value elsewhere.

My husband and I had lost our house and needed a place to stay with our children. We decided to go to the Value place. Its very clean and the staff are very nice. I would recommend to anyone that needs a place to stay or even when you come into town to visit and needs a place just call value place or just stop in.. Resonable prices and the location isn't bad also... you can also do your laundry here in the laundry room..

Springfield Missouri's Value Place has a great location next to a supermarket, theater, and several quality restaurants. The manager and staff are extremely professional but they each treat you more like a member of their family than a guest. It is comforting to know that your needs are meet by a wonderful and friendly staff. Value Place employees take the time to know you as a person. We have the best group of individuals around us!
