“We are in Love with this place!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2010

We just spent our 50th anniversary at Amish Country Inn and was treated like gold and if we were the only ones here (they were booked). It was very cold and snowing. John and Carrie the Innkeepers were watching for us to pull in they waved us in to park at the front door of the Inn. They carried our luggage in, and met us with a fresh cup of hot coffee and fresh baked cookies that Kadi there daughter (3 years old) had just baked with her mom. They carried our bags up to our room with us in tow. We loved our room! It was very clean and warm. We woke up in the morning with the smell of fresh brewed coffee. We had a Wonderful Hot Breakfast. Served was fresh baked bisquits, eggs, hash browns and smoked ham and all the old time fixins. We had a wonderful time and fell in love with this family. We will recomened this Inn to all our family and friends, and we will be back!!

“Very relaxing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 February 2009

We spent our 21st wedding anniversary at the Amish Country Inn Bed & Breakfast. The owners were very nice and presented a "family" environment, welcoming us with a hearty breakfast both mornings we were there. We weren't looking for a "hotel" atmosphere. We wanted the peace and quiet that comes with a bed & breakfast. Our room was very clean and homey. Actually, it was romantic given that it snowed the night we were there and watching it from our 2nd story window was lovely. We will return!

“The quiet , calm atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2008

We loved the homey atmoshpere. It fit right in with our trip. While all our family met there no one intruded and left us in the tea room as long as we wanted. They just kept the coffee , drinks and snacks coming.
The rooms were charming and oh so clean.
Breakfast was perfect and lots of suggestions for day trips. Our party all together was 22 with 6 of us staying at the Inn.We plan on returning next year and one of our family is planning a wedding in the near future and is seriously planning on holding it there.

“could be great”

very nice people, but need to take the business more serious.
needs some fresh paint and outside maintance, path to pond would be nice. pictures were not taken at supper like advertised in the magazine i read. Bath towels not available and morning coffie not prepared as planned. Room was clean. Area is very country, which is nice. would suggest not mowing the yard on saturday morning. food was good, but breakfast was plain, could have used some fruit or pastry. was told to busy to prepare the meat well done or eggs dry, only 3 people being served breakfast. this could have easily been a nice touch with very little effort. would also have been nice if you could have a some selection in type of food. evening meal also good, but small portions(a spoon full of beans, how expensive could a few more beans be) and numerous menu items not available. would not be comfortable recommending this place based on the lack of willingness to go a little out of the way. Again, could be great despite being in the country and not the most modern choice available.

  • Liked — the out of the way location
  • Disliked — lack of owners to to the extra effort to make this special

“You'll Love this quaint place...”

We spent a most wonderful night at the Amish Country Inn in late August 2002. We stayed in "Laura's Room", named for Laura Ingalls Wilder whose homestead is not far. The park-like setting is beautiful. It is so quiet and serene here. There is a gift shop that takes up most of the ground floor along with the dining area. The breakfast was non-descript...plain ole' food...but good and lots of it. The best part was the owner/proprieter who was the most friendly person. We even got to see an Amish buggy driving alongside the road!
