“Great choice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2011

This super 8 is the best one I have stayed in US so far. The room and public area are clean all the time. The service are beyond my expectation. I stayed here for 3 nights. I requested to change to a deluxe room the second day. Not only they got my room ready early, more to impress me is they offer to move my luggage when I told them I would be out of property for few hours. I had a cream "hidden" in the little freezer in the previous room. When I got into my new room, the cream has been moved to this freezer. They even hanged up my personal wash cloth at exact the same place just like in the previous room. What an attention to detail! Plus a great breakfast in the morning to boost you up. The friendliness of the staff is even better than some of the big brand hotel. I will definitely stay here again if I ever visit in St.Robert.

“Great Value, Nice Motel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 July 2011

My brother decided to book a room at this place since it was a little out of the way and the rate was good. Driving up, it looked clean and well-kept. It seemed rather new, the staff was very friendly and they accepted pets, which was a bonus. The room was clean, bright and welcoming. The airco worked well, which we were grateful for in the 90+ heat. There was a refrig and micro, a workout room, indoor pool and spa - all of which were quite nice. There was also an extra bathroom in the hallway, which is nice when you are sharing a room.

This is a military community, so many families stay at places like this. Thus, having a washer and dryer is really handy. The cable TV worked well, as did the Internet. The workout room right next to ours also had a water dispenser which was handy.

There's really nothing within walking distance, so make sure you have what you need if you don't want to go out once you check in. All in all, a very well run establishment with very nice staff for a pleasant stay.

I definitely enjoyed my two night stay there. I went to see my fiance graduate BCT at Fort Leonard Wood and found that the hotel was a lot closer than I thought it would be to the base, AWESOME! Very safe, friendly and clean. I give it a thumbs up! :]

“Don't swim in the pool!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2010

Here is the good, the bad, and the ugly...

The room is actually pleasant, although the beds are not very nice. Our comforter had holes in it, the beds (we had 2 queen size beds - Room 214) that were visibly sagging in the centers. Otherwise, the room is decent and the large flat screen television is nice. Other amenities included are WiFi, microwave and small refrigerator. The bathroom was updated and very clean. That's the good.

Now for the bad... I think that service is not a high priority at this hotel. One day the cleaning service did nothing other than give us fresh towels. I would have liked the beds to have been made at the very least (and we made sure none of our things were on them). They have an envelope out for soliciting tips (I've stayed in many, many hotels and have never seen this before). Overall, really nothing to tip for as I found the service sub-par.

Lastly, the ugly... The pool, one of the major reasons we chose to stay at this hotel. Temperature-wise it was perfectly lovely! That's where the loveliness ended. With freshly shaven legs, it took 10 minutes of being in the water for my legs to feel like fire ants were attacking in full force, my throat was burning even though I hadn't put it underwater, eyes were watering, etc. Can you say overchlorinated? My son coughed for 2 straight days because of the pool (no, we didn't go back after that first experience), my daughter's eyes were bright red and burning as well as her throat. We told the front desk but their response was uncaring and there was no manager on duty since it was Thanksgiving.

As a customer, if you are simply looking for a place to lay your head, I would say this is ok, but there are so many other choices in the same area that I would suggest trying another brand. I will not be staying there again.
