Here is the good, the bad, and the ugly...
The room is actually pleasant, although the beds are not very nice. Our comforter had holes in it, the beds (we had 2 queen size beds - Room 214) that were visibly sagging in the centers. Otherwise, the room is decent and the large flat screen television is nice. Other amenities included are WiFi, microwave and small refrigerator. The bathroom was updated and very clean. That's the good.
Now for the bad... I think that service is not a high priority at this hotel. One day the cleaning service did nothing other than give us fresh towels. I would have liked the beds to have been made at the very least (and we made sure none of our things were on them). They have an envelope out for soliciting tips (I've stayed in many, many hotels and have never seen this before). Overall, really nothing to tip for as I found the service sub-par.
Lastly, the ugly... The pool, one of the major reasons we chose to stay at this hotel. Temperature-wise it was perfectly lovely! That's where the loveliness ended. With freshly shaven legs, it took 10 minutes of being in the water for my legs to feel like fire ants were attacking in full force, my throat was burning even though I hadn't put it underwater, eyes were watering, etc. Can you say overchlorinated? My son coughed for 2 straight days because of the pool (no, we didn't go back after that first experience), my daughter's eyes were bright red and burning as well as her throat. We told the front desk but their response was uncaring and there was no manager on duty since it was Thanksgiving.
As a customer, if you are simply looking for a place to lay your head, I would say this is ok, but there are so many other choices in the same area that I would suggest trying another brand. I will not be staying there again.
