“Terrific hotel--as expected from Four Seasons”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

We did a weekend getaway and chose Four Seasons, which has to be the world's best hotel group. The housekeeping standards are top of the line and the room decor shouts understated elegance. Pricey by downtown St Louis standards, but a hotel that is head and shoulders above other downtown hotels--and we have stayed in most of them. We opted for one bit of "skinflintery"--self parking. Not sure what it saved over valet, but go for the valet! Saturday night was some monster truck show at the Edward Jones Dome about 300 yards from the hotel and the self parking which is shared with the adjoining casino was a nightmare. Took us 45 minutes to park. Even without an event, the self parking is awkward. Other than that, everything was delightful. The restaurant is good and makes some effort to fit in with the surrounding area by offering some reasonable value meal and wine specials--while still having plenty of $300 bottles for those who so indulge.

“an oasis!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

This (like all four seasons properties) is a great hotel. The lobby and check-in is on the 8th floor, so logisitically it's a bit confusing, but the lobby has a great view of the St. Louis Arch.

the rooms are super-quiet and the bathrooms are outstanding, with a large soaking tub and a separate shower.

Service is great, but the valet parking is outrageous, at $28/night.

“Excellent visit”

I have stayed here 2 or 3 times over the past year or so when traveling on business. Frankly, Saint Louis [especially in the winter] is not one of those places one would hurry to get to.

But the 4 Seasons is like a breath of fresh air. I would highly recommend this hotel.

“Gorgeous suite and fantastic staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

I stayed at the Four Seasons with my husband and 6 year old son in April of 2010. It was terrific. I had emailed the hotel prior to my arrival to request a room that faced the Arch and to ask a couple questions. They were very quick to respond and helpful. When we arrived at the hotel, they brought out a wagon with small toys on it and let my son pick one out. How nice! I was utterly blown away when we got to our room and they had upgraded us to a one bedroom suite with an incredible view. The room was very spacious and clean with lots of extras. The closet lights come on as the doors open, there was a tv in the mirror in the bathroom, huge tub, glass shower. Very nicely decorated. Four star, all the way.
On the table was a darling little treat for my son...it was a plate with a 6 inch tall rice krispie shaped arch, chocolate riverboat filled with jellybeans and "Welcome Ashton" written in chocolate. Next to that were crayons, a neat travel "sippy" and a color changing straw. It was awesome and my son was thrilled!
Plus, they have a lovely outdoor area for cocktails or appetizers next to Cielo's. By taking the elevator downstairs, you can take a five minute walk to the casino next door. There are several more restaurants in that area. There isn't that much else to do within walking distance, but you are close to many attractions by car.
The Four Seasons staff was great. They asked how to pronounce our name correctly and called us by name anytime we interacted with them. They were always helpful and courteous. We felt like they really were trying to make our stay as good as possible. It was refreshing.
There really was nothing that could have made the stay any better. It was just superior all around.

Room Tip: While we did have a great view of the arch, there was a lot of signage and light coming from the cas...

“Wonderful Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We stayed at the Four Season's St. Louis for a pre-Christmas get-away. Our experience with the friendly and professional staff made us feel welcome. Our room was spacious and well appointed with a gorgeous view overlooking the Mississippi River. The bathroom was gorgeous complete with a TV screen hidden in the mirror! Our bed was luxurious and we slept well!
We had drinks before and after our dinner at the hotel bar. The bar was festive and lots of fun.We had a nice breakfast before heading home! Oh, and I forgot bobby pins and called the front desk. They said that the spa would run some to me. I opted to stop by the spa on my way out and pick them up. Absolutely beautiful and serene! I wish I had time to visit the spa. It will be on my list next time for sure!

Room Tip: You can pay a little more to have a corner room...it was amazing overlooking the Mississippi River!
