“Honeymoon Hideaway”

We couldn't have picked a more perfect, opulent, friendly, and fantastic B&B for our honeymoon than the Fleur-De-Lys Mansion. We stayed in the Forest Park Suite and it was absolute perfection. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept on. The room was gorgeous as was the entire mansion - the private hot tub on the 2nd floor was also a real treat, aside from the one in our room, which was a wonderful honeymoon addition that my hubby surprised me with. Our hosts Jan & Dave were beyond warm & welcoming, we felt like it was a home away from home & they were also kind to extend an open house to our parents who were still in town during our wedding celebrations. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when we are in St. Louis - we look forward to returning in the future.

Room Tip: The Forest Park room was the most opulent. We saw all of the rooms after we arrived and by far ours...

“Very Very Nice!!”

I took my wife there for her 38th birthday surprise. Upon arriving at the mansion, Vicky was at the front door awaiting out arrival. She quickly made us feel right at home. The tour of the mansion was quick and interesting. I had requested white roses upon our arrival for my wife and Vicky made it happen. I also requested chocolates and wine for our return after dinner and it was there! We stayed in the Tower Grove Park room and it was very nice. The bed was one of the most comfortable I ever slept in. The breakfast was outstanding, and Jan helped in serving it. She was very nice and down to earth. The entire stay was worth every penny and we can not wait to go back. We are getting my parents the same room for their anniversary later this year. I am going to recommend the Fleur-De-Lys Mansion to everyone I know!!

Room Tip: The Tower Grove was great and the Forest Park looked just as nice. Won't go wrong with any of t...

“Third Time is Another Charm”

We have experienced the luxury of the Fleur-De-Lys mansion three times now, and we already want to book our next visit. We live in the St. Louis area, and our visits to the mansion are our way of having a relaxing and romantic evening together, removing ourselves from the daily stresses of life, and the hectic schedule a family brings. The entire mansion is warm and inviting in a way that makes you just want to kick back and soak it all up.

The warm smiles and the warm cookies at check-in immediately put us on the path of relaxation. After our hello's and check-in, we almost always find ourselves enjoying a coffee in the opulant library. You will find yourself right at home as you literally kick up your feet and dive into a book or a magazine, accompanied by one of Jan’s fresh baked cookies, of course!

The hot tub in the solarium is the next place into which we normally wander. The warmth of the hot tub contrasts with the coolness of the night air, and with the windows open, you feel the stress of life soak away. The lock on the door ensures the experience will be private and romantic.

We have stayed in two of the four guest rooms, and the Forrest Park room is our favorite. The rooms are incredibly clean which is a huge compliment coming from us “clean freaks.” The large King bed is wonderful. The comfortable mattress and the lavender scented sheets are perfect ways to end the day.

Breakfast has always been simply amazing! Calling the meals gourmet does them no justice. Jan and Vickie never cease to amaze us with their breakfasts that fit for royalty, from the presentation, the china and silver, to the decadent flavors. With Dave on coffee duty, you are sure to have a great start to your day. While we didn’t indulge in a private dining experience at the mansion on this visit, we did experience it on our first visit. Dawn, the dinner Executive Chef, prepared one of the most amazing meals that we have ever eaten, and we have eaten all over the world, in world renown dining establishments, and experiences. We highly recommend the experience, but come hungry and eat lightly during the first courses!

We saved the best part of the mansion for last, the Innkeppers. From the moment we met them, Jan and Dave have treated us like family. They make you feel like a family guest, and not a paying customer. They strive to know you and to know what will make a good experience for you. Sometimes that is enjoying the quiet atmosphere of the mansion, and sometimes that is enjoying a conversation with them in the kitchen as family while dirty breakfast dishes, but wonderful conversation and good company, surround you. Truly what a family breakfast experience is all about! On our last two visits, we also have had the pleasure of getting to know their Assistant Innkeeper, Vickie. She is every bit as personable as Jan and Dave, and she adds her own style of hospitality to the experience.

From the moment we discovered the Fleur-De-Lys, we have never looked at another B&B. We found a gem in our own backyard, and we will be visiting for years to come!

“In town for a conference, make sure you stay at the Fleur De Lys Mansion”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 December 2011

This Bed and Breakfast is by far the best I have every visited. I was in town for a medical conference at the University of Missouri and it was my first time in St Louis, so I wasn't sure of the different neighborhoods. My coworkers booked at the recommended hotel room but, I searched for a place to relax and enjoy the comforts of a quiet space to study. WOW, was I truly lucky to find Fleur De Lys Mansion. The inn keeper matched the hotel rate and when I arrived to the mansion it was way more than I expected. The home is exquisite the innkeepers were very helpful and accomodating. They made sure I ate breakfast before leaving early for my classes. The food was delicious and my friends were so jealous when I showed them pictures of what I was served. Each night I had a quiet place in my large suite to cozy up and read. After my exam was finished, I enjoyed took a rewarding dip in the hot tub, and slept like a baby in the plush bedding. During the evenings, the inn keepers recommended nearby restaurants and attractions, even a local concert at the gardens. I enjoyed having the whirlpool bath in the room each night was truly relaxing in luxury at an affordable rate. I cannot wait to return to the mansion with my hubby in the future.

“Enjoyed Every Minute”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011

From the time I entered this amazing mansion until the time that I finished my wonderful breakfast, I thoroughly enjoyed everything that this bed and breakfast has to offer. The creativity and care that the staff has put into this establishment is evident in each room you enter. My stay at the Fleur-De-Lys Mansion was one that I will never forget. Great sleep, great comfort, great food, and great people...you cannot ask for more!

Room Tip: I recommend the Forest Park Room; it was a top notch room with a wonderful bed!
