“Exellent down town location”

Booked a whirlpool room and was upgraded to the "Presidential Suite" on the top floor at check in. Quite a surprise. Room was nice, very large, and clean. Best city view as you can get in a smaller building. If it was not foggy out, the Arch may have even been in view. Parked in the parking garage next door, paid through the hotel and received a card to use for transiting in and out of the garage. Front desk folks were friendly. We ate breakfast at the in hotel restaurant (booked a package which included buffet) There was a large selection and all of the food was excellent. Hotel was clean, and quiet overall, no issues. Hotel was a short walk (5-10 minutes) from the Landing/Casino area

“Exactly what you would expect from the Hilton”

Accomodation was very nice, little bit on the older side, but cant complain. Everything was very clean, and staff were friendly. I found the location to be pretty good, not far from transport, walking distance to the arch and river.

“Very nice place, but service needs some help”

Got a room at the Hilton through Hotwire and got a good deal. When I arrived at the entrance on 400 Olive St. it said there was valet parking, but no one came out to help after I had been there for a few minutes. I went in and was given parking options, so I took the parking garage at $17/night, which is not bad for a big city.

About 5 PM I needed to get a taxi to a restaurant across town. The front desk clerk paged the bellman to flag a taxi down but he never did this, being that he was standing indoors the entire time I was waiting. After waiting 15 minutes one of the managers came by and tried to flag down a taxi himself in 20 degree weather, and it was also quite windy out. After a half an hour of waiting I did get a taxi, but was left wondering why the front desk didn't just call a company they knew of and order a cab that way. It would have saved me time and their manager the hassle of trying to flag down a taxi.

As I found later that evening, taxi's are hard to find after 5 PM, even in downtown St. Louis. Save yourself the hassle an use the Metro.

Otherwise the stay was fine. Rooms have high ceilings which I like, but the bathroom was rather small and cramped.

Room Tip: The view from my room was of a big brick side of a building. Ask for something better.

We normally do not experience such long waits to hail a taxi downtown especially if there is an event or conference in the city. Thank you for your understanding and we hope you will choose our hotel again the next time you travel to St. Louis.

“Hasn't failed me yet”

1 of my friends and I stayed here for a blackhawks gae in Dec. It was a fun weekend. The restaurants and fun bars are close and we were near the arch and old state capitol building St. louis is like my second city and my wife and I drive to saint louis a couple times a year. We try to stay at this hotel as much as possible it has always been nice and comfortable. We've never had a problem. We could stay at more expensive hotels but I like this hilton. as a matter of fact I am going to make reservations soon to go in the spring so my wife and I can visit the wine region. Once again, we'll choose this Hilton.
The only negative thing is having to deal with the rude and obnoxious people working at the garage next door.

“Good Location in Business Center of St. Louis”

The best thing about this Hilton is the location from the perspective of a business traveler. It is also fairly close to the arch and a number of other attractions.

Parking is located across in garage across the street and can be a pain in the bottom.

The hotel staff seems friendly, but is not overly helpful, at least later at night. While I prefer to carry my own luggage to my room, I was surprised that none of the four staff available attempted to offer. Great for me, not so great for everyone else.

Rooms are sized well, but there are some fairly bad views (i.e. other hotels next door). The decor is a modern for a Hilton in the US (where so many haven't been so much as painted since 1982).

Expect a very nice breakfast. The executive lounge runs on awkward hours, which has become par for the course at Hiltons.

Room Tip: Pay for a better room and ask for a high floor.
