My husband and I stayed here for a 2 night stop in St Louis. We had checked some more expensive hotels but have only once before ever had a problem with a Super 8 (Topeka, KS). St. Charles offered a good area at a very fair rate. $100 total for the 2 nights, Most others were over $100 PER night, They had a small breakfast, but unfortunately it ends right at 9, not good if your not an early person. Which we aren't. But they had a clean, small indoor pool that we had to ourselves for an hour, that was nice. I did notice it was very close to some questionable houses and apts. But we had no problem with any vandalism and felt safe. There is a bar and grill right next door that gives hotel guests 10% off too. Staff seemed very nice, especially housekeeping. As for the rooms, we had a King bed. I have had much more comfortable beds but again it's not $150 a night. It's not newly remodeled by far but clean enough and did have a micro and refridge too. For an economical hotel I would definitely recommend it for a short stay.

We stayed at this hotel for a conference so luckily we were not there a lot. The only thing I liked was the price. The lobby was very small and rundown looking. The breakfast area is what you would expect from a lower cost hotel - typical continental breakfast stuff. The worst part of the hotel was the second floor hallway leading up to our room. It seemed like there was only one light working on the entire hall. Maybe they keep it that dark so you can't see how it looks - it was dark enough that we had a hard time reading the room numbers. If you are worried about your safety, you might want to look somewhere else. Location is right on a highway but you have to access the hotel by going through a bank parking lot - really strange way to get to a hotel if you ask me. By the way, the best hotel in St. Charles is the Embassy Suites - we should have stayed there again.

We were given room 101 right next to the lobby. Room was clean and ok except for the fact construction was going on in the lobby and going strong before 8:00 am. Table saw was outside and could easily be heard thru our window along with drills and hammers. At breakfast there was no decaf coffee, no milk for the cereal and no orange juice. Hotel was not anywhere near full and could not understand why they would put us so close to the construction.

One of the newer and spiffier Super 8s. Our room included free Wi-Fi, refrigerator and microwave, shower and tub. It was clean, quiet, and everything worked well. Continental breakfast included cereal, Danish, toast, juice, and coffee. We would stay there again.
