I don't normally stay in Embassy Suites, because they aren't in some of the areas we travel, but I gave this one a try, since we were in town for a swim meet. We stayed here about 5 or 6 years ago when it opened.
Everything in the hotel was clean and comfortable and perfect for our family of 5 - three kids under 12. The room was spacious - we had a double bed suite, and we had more than enough room for the family to spread out. The fan was a bit noisy, mainly because of a rattly screw. We didn't get an opportunity to sample the evening fare in the lobby since we got in too late, so I have no review of that. They were having a "Miss Teen Missouri" pageant nearby, and ES was the official host hotel, so it was a bit busy with teen divas!! ; )
The breakfast was excellent, as we went through the omelet line. The wait was minimal, since we got down there around 800. After we went through, it seemed like the line got a bit longer, but our wait was under 5 minutes. I think timing is an issue with this. The chefs were a blast and really working the crowd. The food was great, the coffee was even pretty good for a hotel.
The only issue I had was my room was downgraded - I ordered the King Corner Suite, and they did not have any. Unfortunately, I bought the room via AMEX online, and the room was treated as a "prepaid." When I told the front desk that I bought my room online, they put on their "priceline" defense, (I'm not a user of priceline) which quickly went away when I showed them the AMEX reservation on my phone. In their respect, however, it is an AMEX problem more than ES but it was a bit strange that it couldn't be changed.
I would use this hotel again, in a heartbeat, because it was clean, roomy and with three kids we have to stay in places that offer food in the morning!!
