The positive was a large breakfast area. However, the traffic noise was so loud that it was impossible to sleep. The ice machine was broken and the soda sign was incorrect. Front desk people at check-in were engrossed in personal conversation thus no directions. Front desk people after breakfast were not helpful when both door keys failed to gain entry into the room (after repeated attempts). This result in 3 long walks to and from the desk finally insisting that someone come to the room. We were treated like ignorant people who did not know how to use a card-entry system instead of hotel guests.

Room was clean and large,but no fridge . Offered another room with fridge but I would have to move all my stuff.Breakfast was very nice in large room . Plenty of tables.Parking was a little congested due to exterior construction, but it is almost completed. Lobby is large and comfortable, Desk clerks were helpful Was there 4 days and had no problems.Dennys next door is still closed due to structural problems. (Was told a car drove into the restaurant) Texas Roadhouse next door and Ameristar is onlt 2 minutes way..Would stay there again

Since late August this place has been in the process of being remodeled. They are currently working on the exterior of the property. The shower rod in our room was dangling, The safe (electronic) was fine til our second day of being here gave out, Most of the front desk clerks were okay but one who seemed to carry a bizarre attitude. The breakfast here is pretty decent for the coupon rate (serving: Eggs (scrambled and hard boiled), sausage, make your own waffles, donuts, mini muffins, 2 kinds of cold cereal, variety of hot cereal, coffee, apple juice, orange juice, milk, donuts, and a variety of condiments which were pretty decent). Originally we were supposed to stay at the Country Inn's and Suite down by the Ameristar but evidently whoever the male guy was lied to us about room availability. I called to see if they had and was told that they did have rooms available. They (Country Inn and Suites St. Charles) lost our business because of the dishonesty alone. The pillows in the rooms are very small almost like sofa cushions and had to bunch them together just to get comfortable. The Denny's that is attached to the property has been shut down for approximately 7 mos. according to one of the front desk clerks who stated "that there were issues with the foundation due to an incident that happend back in March. I don't think I would honestly recommend this place too much going on and it has a history of negativity and bad reviews. The only one that was helpful and very pleasant was a spanish speaking maintenance guy who was courteous. Everything else is blah!

Ok ,so they are doing a lot of remodeling.That's good right? The outside is kind of trashy looking but when you walk in the lobby was pretty nice so it gives the impression that the rooms will be great. Not!!!! I walked into the room which by the way was supposed to have a fridge and a microwave in it and didn't,anyway the first thing that I noticed was the very dirty walls and baseboards. I was like ok, I don't sleep on them but when I took off my shoes my feet seemed to stick to the carpet. Yukkkk!!! Overall I guess its a place to stay once so you won't forget what a hotel like this feels like. Won't be staying here again.
