I have spent 3 days in Ameristar Hotel on a business trip. The hotel has excellent and very ,very comfortable rooms, with 3 TV one in bedroom one in living room and 1 in the Bathroom , my room looked to city of St Charles, the others overlook the Missouri river. It has several restaurants and bars besides the Casino, and it also has a beautiful pool in and out doors .
The room is equipped with coffee machine but the fridge-bar was empty
The hotel has a very spacious parking place; you can choose between valet parking or do it yourself. The city of St Charles is really cute with the main street in an old style French town.
The rate was very adequate considering the service. I would recommend this hotel.

The Ameristar provides terrific rooms. Spacious and comfortable, they are the best part of the hotel. However, the staff are generally unfriendly and unwilling to be accomodating. When we asked for an extra hour for check out, (which we would have paid for), we were told absolutely not almost before we got the words out of our mouths. Eventually, they grudgingly gave us a half hour. Folks just seem grumpy to work there which is too bad because the rooms are great. One exception, there was a nice kid from the local university at the desk, but that was the highlight. Hmmm.

Love the rooms here! Pool was nice to. Buffet was reaaly good to.

I really enjoyed the variety of restaurants which was matched with All Star Service. I can't wait to return. Their Sports Bar was the highlight of my visit and stay with lots of TVs high energy and great music. I will return just for the hotel rooms & Sports Bar if I have to.
