The Ameristar provides terrific rooms. Spacious and comfortable, they are the best part of the hotel. However, the staff are generally unfriendly and unwilling to be accomodating. When we asked for an extra hour for check out, (which we would have paid for), we were told absolutely not almost before we got the words out of our mouths. Eventually, they grudgingly gave us a half hour. Folks just seem grumpy to work there which is too bad because the rooms are great. One exception, there was a nice kid from the local university at the desk, but that was the highlight. Hmmm.

Love the rooms here! Pool was nice to. Buffet was reaaly good to.

I really enjoyed the variety of restaurants which was matched with All Star Service. I can't wait to return. Their Sports Bar was the highlight of my visit and stay with lots of TVs high energy and great music. I will return just for the hotel rooms & Sports Bar if I have to.

First time my company had our sales meeting here. As opposed to many casino's you were not forced to walk through the casino to eat or go to the bathroom or enter or leave, which was a WELCOME change.
Facility is much like a mini city, with a broad walk way passing between the various amenities, restaurants, shops, arcade, and casino.
Hotel room was fantastic. Huge, two flat screens, fridge, microwave, two levels and a great view of the river and St. Louis in the distance.
Wish that the walk area was smoke free, otherwise would say excellent.
