basic hotel but right on route66 so easy to find. rooms clean and tidy. we managed to put the disc lock on the wrong way so needed a hacksaw, asked at the reception and the handyman turned out at 2100hrs on a saturday night to cut it off, fantastic service or what.
breakfast was good you could fill your boots.
a fantastic bar(terrys tatty patch) is round the corner DO NOT MISS this, its like the blues brothers but only better

I was traveling for my parts Business (Isellmiataparts.com) I called ahead from my cell phone to two places, this one, and the hampton. Prices were similar. both places told me that I didnt need a reservation and I could float in at 10 pm no problem. My mind told me to go to the hampton, but when I got off the high way the western looked great, there was a restaurant in the parking lot for supper, and a waffle house on the other side for breakfast (Im a sucker for a waffle house lol) so I took the room. Well let me tell you the the outside looks GREAT, not so much the inside. dark and dingy. reminded me of a seedy detective novel.
f I would not have been so tired I would have bailed on this. But I was tired, and I really only needed a clean bed ( was nice and clean, wont take that away from it) I contemplated bailing once I had supper, but again, I was real tired. I stayed. The hotel was noisy, and even though I had a non smoking room, I woke in the morning with a headache from smoke. The room is probably 50 years old, and even though its now non smoking, its still permeated with smoke. Meh I had a decent night sleep, not great. I wasnt disgusted, but I sure have been in better for the same price ;) Cant tell you what the other hotel was, I didnt stay there.... but the next time Im in Rolla, I will try it. doubt it could be worse, and I hold out for MUCH better <wink>

This place is in a great location. The rooms where kind of old it seemed to me and need to be remolded, no microwave or fridge, carpet needed replaced badly. Bed was comfortable though. Cont. breakfast was ok but have had better. As said before breakfast area could have been larger for sure. I would probably stay again.

Room was in ill-repair - bathroom wall near floor caving in; security lock on door broken. Reservation said room would have mini-fridge and microwave. Had neither, but on their behalf, they did eventually provide them. They also took $20 per day off the charges to compensate us. This was nice effort, but they need to keep the rooms in better repair.
