“A great and comfortable place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

We have found this motel by using a coupon in Travel Buddy booklet we found at a rest stop. we have been staying at this Baymont for about 4 years now. It is clean and comfortable. The staff is great and it offers a very good hot breakfast. The pool and exercise room is open 24 hours!!! They do have a safe charge of $1.50 but when you check out if you haven't used the safe you can ask and they will remove it with no problems.

“An exceptional place with amazing staff - GO!!!”

I cannot say enough positive about this lovely place... DO NOT judge it by the outside.
The rooms are spacious and have lovely comfy beds, excellent linen - sparkly white and changed often, towel in abundance, fabulous and extraordinarily helpful housekeeping staff. Reception staff [day and night] who will go the extra mile [or ten] to make you happy and meet your needs. The pool is beautifully kept, temperature carefully controlled so it is not over hot when you go in to the pool suite and not cold when you come out of the water after a swim or using the hot tub. The staff make a fabulius happy team, with sunny personailities, all pulled together and cossetted by a marvellous manager Kim, who exemplifies what it is to look after a guest. I have rarely felt so well looked after.
Enitrely safe for women travelling alone, great for couple and families.
And a beautiful lake just behind for a lovely walk. Restaurants nearby so actually possible to stay here even without a car. Rolla has a beauty spa, second hand bookshop, a place to do yoga or Tai chi, a cinema and a great Walmart!! Not far away you will find some good restaurants, vineyards and enough sites and Route 66 to make it worth a holiday. I shall return and would stay nowhere else.

Room Tip: Look at the range [they will happily show you your options]. I loved the back ones looking at the l...

“Average Baymont But Watch For Extra Charges”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

Not a bad place, really, for stopping on a long road trip. Baymonts are usually pretty good and this one in about in the middle in my experience. Breakfast was adequate and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. A little hard to get to with the roundabout exits from I44 and a dark frontage road. This would have been a "4" rating if they had not put an "automatic" charge of $1.50 on my bill for the "safe" in the room. The "safe" in question is a key-lock box in the closet. Since we were there for approximately 11 hours to sleep, once we were in the room, we never left. Therefore, no safe needed. But...there was the charge. The front desk removed it upon request but this kind of sneaked in "automatic" charge for such things is really disgusting in a chain that I have usually held in pretty high regard.

Room Tip: Just read your bill carefully! We prefer third floor rooms in this type of hotel.

“Comfortable Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2011

We found this place by using the free hotel coupon booklets that are available at rest stops. Oftentimes, this practice is a gamble. But when you're on a long road trip and you're literally using the place for one night to get some sleep, amenities aren't at the top of your wish list. You simply strive to save some cash and hope it's clean and comfortable. This place went above and beyond. Very clean, very comfortable. The desk clerk was friendly. We arrived in the evening after being in the car for a long time and were pleased that we could walk across the road to a BBQ joint (Bandanas?) to have dinner. Breakfast was the usual cereal, muffins, etc. They also offered waffles and biscuits and gravy (didn't partake; just making note). We were able to open the window, which is always appreciated. Our room faced the expressway, but we couldn't hear it when the window was closed. Overall a great experience.

“What a nice motel to spend the night!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

This hotel is an easy exit from I-44. It had a very comfortable bed, great black-out curtains, and even a little lake next door with a walking path around it. Breakfast was OK. Entirely satisfactory!
