We were very pleased with the service and the staff was very accomodating. The villa was extremely spacious, clean and quiet. It's great for a large family with children or even two small families. It was a great place to come back to after a day golfing or on the lake. Outdoor deck with grills were nice for hosting a big family. Also allows pets for nominal fee.

Quiet, easy access (off HWY 54), a throwback prior to mega-resorts. While not brimming with extras, has all you need for a restful, simple stay. Golf course/driving range out your back door, pool. Excellent wi-fi connections. Only drawback was in-wall air conditioning units (they worked, but somewhat noisy). Would definitely stay again.

I had a great stay with excellent service. The room was very spacious, clean and great amenities. All at a very affordable price. The golf course was in great shape as well.

My husband and I recently stayed 5 nights in a motel room at the Dogwood Inn. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and set up a golf package for us that saved us some money over booking the accomodations and tee times separately.
The rooms are quite spacious, and have some of the best lighting that I've seen in a hotel room-enough light to actually read! The room was clean, and the resort is conveniently located. They have free-WiFi in the rooms, and are working on getting it for the villas as well. I told the manager, Betsy, that it would be nice to have refrigerators in the motel rooms, and that is already in the works. They also have an agreement with a local health club to use their facilities.
Two minor "negatives" : the shower heads are quite low, and we had some noise from the room next door, because the rooms were adjoining, and sound came under the door. I put our laundry bag in front of the door, and that helped muffle the noise.
We originally wanted to reserve a suite/villa, but they were already sold out. I did get to see one of them, and they're also very spacious, and great for groups, with a full kitchen and living room.
