It was awful. It wasn't that clean. The whole place had a greasy, recycled air feel and smell in the air. Every time we were in the building, my eyes would swell shut from allergies. Our family of three was in town for two nights, for a family reunion. The town itself is a dirty little town built up on truck stops, gas stations and cheap roadside hotels. There isn't a lot to choose from for meals.
And then the second day was worse. The breakfast that was included in the price wasn't there. I asked about it at the front desk. The middle aged woman with poor hygiene working groaned and sasid whatever was there, was all they had. I looked again with her. There was an empty plate where doughnuts were. She said the whole hotel had a dozen doughnuts to split up. There was a bunch a spilled cereal on the counter. She said there was probably more and she pulled a plastic container out with Cheerio knock-offs in it, from a cabinet. She turned and walked away as if she was done. I quickly asked about something to drink. She just pointed across the room. She said they were out of orange juice and coffee. Another container of milk was sitting out on the counter. There wasn't much in it and who knows how long it it had been sitting out. The whole situation was disgusting.
We had our day out and came back for the night, but things got even worse. We needed new towels and wash cloths as the room was only stocked for a single night. I understand that, but I had to go to the front desk to ask for more. There was a different middle aged woman with poor hygiene working. She gave out a moan about being bothered. I kept my composure though. Then she came back with a single towel. I told her there was three of us and we needed wash cloths also. She said that was all they had to give out. I asked when they would have more and her answer was whenever they wash more. I was well angered at this point. I firmly and calmly said they need to do that immediately. We weren't alone in the hotel and there was no way we were the only ones who needed these things. As I walked back to my room. I heard the woman screaching to someone else to start washing towels. I walked back a couple hours later to get them. They were being folded at the time someone I hadn't seen before. She was the only employee there who was polite.
The next morning was our checkout time. I noticed the breakfast counter was better stocked, but we got out of there as quick as we could and we ate at a family diner further up the highway. I never want to visit that hotel again. Ever.
