The young lady who checked us in was very sweet and speedy. We were done in two mins. She helped us find an amazing restaraunt to eat at. She recommended the Red Barn. Very very good. Later that night she was helpful when we werent sure how to turn the air on. very poliet and sweet girl. The next morning we checked out with a taller young lady. She was so nice and made our stay feel like it was all in all a great stay. The room service was great too. The maids were funny and very entertaining. The whole staff was happy and very helpful. Check in and check out, quick, easy, and cheerful. The desk clerks look to be in there young twenties. Very helpful group of girls. Couldnt have been any better. Thank you.
Rooms were very clean and the pool was a nice place for the kids to play.

Room 206 on 09-03-11 smelled like a smoker was in the room. I got no sleep as I had the smoke smell up my nose all night. We were suppose to stay another night at this location. Checked out and went to the Super 8 in Monett, Mo which is a much better Super 8. I will not stay at the Super 8 in Mt Vernon, Mo ever again.

My family like to stay every time we are traveling. This time was terrible. When I called to make reservations the first trip through,Amanda put me on hold for 20 minutes and I listened as she talked to some guy(not a guest) then asked if I was still there to take my information to reserve the room. I was happy to see a pleasant face the next morning. On our way back home we stopped again. Amanda was at the front desk and when I dared question the rate she was charging she was not nice, I realized she was the same rude person from before and ask to speak with the manager...she told us to leave and the contact number was on the business card at the corner of the desk, but she was not going to give us the room she took our information for. I called the number and Amanda answered the phone so until Amanda learns some better skills for customer service we will stay elsewhere and I will advise anyone else to do the same.

Four people in the room. Two bath towels in the bathroom. We asked for more towels and she gave us itty bitty towels. When we asked for larger bath towels, she said she had just given the last one away. Later, we asked for another pillow. Again, we were told that she had just given the last one away. We asked for towels for the pool, oops, same story.

My granddaughter said, "I wonder who decided to open a motel and only give the customers hand towels."

Beds were extremely firm. I felt like I was sleeping on the floor.

Breakfast is a nightmare for diabetics. Everything is carbs. No fruit, no yogurt, just cereal, bagels, toast and donuts. I had to skip breakfast because I couldn't eat any of it.
