Me and my wife went on a mini-vacation to St louis, we wanted a hotel out of the hustle of the city but close to everything. We chose this hotel for location and hottub and free breakfast. Upon arrival check-in was seamless. They even had directions to the arch and scotts trade center already printed out for us. Very frendly staff, they all went the extra mile. Room was very clean and quiet, and the in-room safe was nice and we felt very safe here. Ice machine down hall worked great. The indoor hottub was very nice after a long drive. We are very leary of bed bugs because of all the media so we always check, we pulled sheets back and no sign of them. After going to see trans-siberian orchastra our memory card was full, the owner made us a cd and erased our card for us so we could take pictures at the arch. As I understand it the hotel changed owners and they are doing a great job of turning this hotel around. I will be staying here again in the future and would recommend to all my family and friends. Overall a great experience.

“Decent Value”

This hotel has a Days Inn sign out front and not many cars in the lot. Nevertheless, I think it is good value for the money. Convenient to the airport and major arteries, reasonably clean and adequate rooms. I was happy. The staff was very nice.

Room Tip: The breakfast limps, but the do-it-yourself waffles are good.

“never ever again”

Family trip and we wanted to go cheap. I called ahead and booked, explained my mom is picky and a neat freak and was told they were in the process of renovating and they would give us a great room especially since we called ahead with the request. We get there and check in that was a slow process. Key didn't work had to get a new one. When you shut the door there is about a half inch gap on one side of the door which was creepy, a peeping Tom's dream. A/C squeaked LOUDLY after about half hour of running. Behind the toilet there was black mold everywhere and a rotted hole in the wall smelled like it looked toilet was dirty hair stuck on everything. Shower curtain was moldy and the tub was dirty and drained slowly. Carpet was frayed and dirty kept my flip flops on the whole time. Bedding was shabby but appeared to have been washed, I hope. We stayed on night and had planned on two but bailed. Only made it the first night cause we got into town so late and were too tired to move hotels. When I complained at the office they said we couldn't be moved to another room because there weren't any available. That is why I called ahead. Whatever. They did discount our one night after by brother stood at the desk and complained a ton the next morning. Horrible place, I will never stay with this chain again.

“A Pleasant Surprise!”

This place has apparently recently become a Days Inn as they have a banner instead of a sign and it looks as if they are remodelling. After traveling for 10 hours we arrived in St. Louis and began our search for a place to stay. We normally stay at Days Inn, but I was a little concerned with the appearance of the building and the fact that they didn't have a real sign. The lobby however was beautiful and clean and the receptionist was friendly, welcoming, and helpful in getting us set up for the night and finding us a restaurant to eat at. The rooms were clean, and nicely furnished. Breakfast was one of the better complimentary breakfasts I've had in a long while (eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, bagels, toast, etc). I was very happy with the staff, room, price, etc, I would definitely stay here again in the future!

“Noisiest hotel I ever stayed at”

We had to sleep with the TV on all night because of the door slamming all night long. The hot tub & pool area are not maintained by the staff. The breakfast buffet with one waffle maker was not worth the wait, waiting 15 minutes for a waffle is unrealistic, day 2 we made a stop to the IHOP. Our reason for staying was the pool, hot tub and buffet but nothing meat my expectations. The room was clean, however when we walked out of our non-smoking room you were hit with the stench of smoke in the hall way and elevator. The hotel needs some form of ventilation in the hallways. Also why have a smoking room next to a non-smoking room? We will not be staying here again, spend an extra $25 and stay at the Marriott. The pictures online are nice but the place is not kept up.
