“Terrific Value!”

Pros: Large, well-appointed room; CLEAN!; quiet; nice breakfast selection (standard LQ fare); delightful, genuine staff; hassle-free internet.

Cons: Water (shower) never quite got hot enough but it was okay.

We enjoyed a one-night stay here and were delighted. For $40 (plus tax) we were a bit skeptical but needed some place to stay after a 15-hour drive. This LQ delivered and then some. It's not brand-spanking new, the carpet may be a little worn, but unless you REALLY worry about worn carpet, you'll be fine here. Sheets and towels were spotless and hole-free. Breakfast was the usual LQ offerings and more than most hotels that charge twice what we paid here.

I'd definitely go back!

Room Tip: Our room was on the end as we had some stuff to unload, so we appreciated using the more convenientl...

“Not a bad place but nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2011

Stayed for a class reunion and was expecting a bit nicer. Bed was ok and room was clean. We thought we were staying at a different one that at least had a pool & spa, so I was a bit disappointed. It seems a bit rundown but it wasn't terriable.

“Not Exactly Elegant, But Read On...”

The hotel was a stop on our way west. We looked for an inexpensive room for the night and we found it here. The place was in need of brightening, whether with paint or better lights. The room was OK, nothing exciting, but it met our (my wife and I) needs -- clean, quiet, and all systems functional.
What was EXCEPTIONAL was the service from the staff when we discovered that we had left our laptop computer behind when we checked out . We called back from Tulsa and asked whether anyone had found the computer . The desk clerk (Kelly) checked the lost and found log and called back to report there was no entry for our room. At our request she physically checked the lost and found room and discovered that the computer had been turned in by some good soul who found it in the parking lot where we'd left it while packing the car to depart. I then talked with the assistant manager (Josh) who volunteered to personally drop the computer at the local FEDEX office on his way home so it could be over-nighted to us in Amarillo. He did and it was, arriving at 10:30 the next morning. We were relieved and continued on our way west thanks to the willingness of these two La Quinta staffers to go the extra mile for their hapless customers. Their can-do attitude brightened our day and indeed out entire trip. Good will and a good attitude mean a lot when the chips are down.

“What do you expect for $55 a night?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

For an overnight stay, it's ok. Our room was quiet and big enough room for my husband, our dogs and myself, the bed was comfortable (although it smelled of smokers and had a few burn holes in the thick blanket towards the bottom) The air conditioner took about 45 minutes to finally 'kick on' even though I turned the fan to on and the thermostat way down. The bathroom was small and like some of the other reviews stated the tub wasn't very clean. We didn't bother showering since we were driving back home the next day.

The only thing that sort of set my teeth on edge was our door looked like it had been kicked in previously. Even though it was closed it still had a big gap at the top. (Room 229) I've read a few reviews on here about police presence so maybe this room was visited by said cops at one time?

Overall for $55 bucks a night it's a decent deal. We didn't encounter anything when we were there and for a spur of the moment overnight trip they were able to accomodate us last minute. However, if you plan to stay for a longer period of time I probably wouldn't stay here due to the bathroom cleanliness.

Oh, there was also not a 'do not disturb' sign to put on our door so the cleaning staff knocked a few times to do our room. We almost just made one and stuck it on our doorknob but instead decided to go grab breakfast and start the drive back home.

There are menus in the room for room service but we opted to go to Denny's located across the street.

“Try somewhere else”

While the common areas of this motel were fine, as was it's continental breakfast. All that changed when you unlock your room door. Bathroom was a mess. Waterstained walls, towel rack falling off the wall, overpainted, tile broken and stained, 3 flushes of the toilet to get down paper. Carpet was dirty and bumpy, way past replacement time. furniture chipped, warped, worn, even the light fixtures needed to be replaced. Made me want to take a shower...oh wait...thats just as nasty. If you stay more than one day, don't be in a hurry to get back and expect a made up room. We gave up at 3pm and got our own clean towels...And the fitness center closed for "repairs"

Room Tip: find a room on the first floor. Perhaps those rooms will be made up in a timly manner
