We stayed in a king room with a fridge and microwave. In addition to the bed, the room had a pull out couch and a coffee table. There was plenty of room for the crib in the room, which was nice, because we were able to put the crib far away from us enough to not hear every single movement of our daughter. Only two things really bothered me about the room: 1) Our non-smoking room was on the first floor next to a smoking room, and it sometimes smelled like smoke. My in-laws had a room across the hall, and theirs didn't smell like smoke, so this may be luck of the draw. 2) The sheets kept coming off the bed! I've never seen a hotel use fitted sheets before, and every morning, the corner of the sheets and mattress pad on both sides of the bed would peel off, leaving the mattress exposed. It was more annoying than anything else.
The housekeeping staff was friendly, and everything was clean except for the floor that turned all our socks black... but that is pretty standard for a hotel room.
The breakfast area itself was pleasant, and we read the paper together there. They were never low on food when we were there, and there were always enough places to sit. The hot breakfast food was just adequate enough to keep us from going out to breakfast, but wasn't all that enjoyable. One morning was hard, pre-cooked waffles and sliced breakfast kielbasa with biscuits, another was scrambled eggs with tiny bits of ham and cheese and sausage and biscuits, and I can't remember the other morning. There were three kinds of cereal, milk, oatmeal packets, coffee, pastries, bagels, muffins, and a juice machine. It all sounds good on paper, but my bagel was hard, and they had the same kinds of muffins each day I was there, so I was never sure how old they were.
If it matters to you, the Hampton Inn's pool is an outdoor pool, and was therefore closed because it is fall. The Holiday Inn next door has been recently remodeled and has an indoor pool.
Staff was friendly, and overall we were satisfied... I don't know how big the rooms are in the Holiday Inn next door, but I loved the roomy feel of our king room at the Hampton Inn. Traveling with a two-year-old, it made things seem a little less cramped.
