I cannot understand how anyone would not like Sand Sping... I mean the people were nice, the room was, 'rustic.' Granted, this is no Holiday Inn, but it is not meant to be. The idea is the rustic setting. The restaurant had good food, albeit a little pricey, but we left full each time. My son and I went on the float trip at the 9:00 a.m. slot. We were given some pointers on what to avoid, an we made it. The room was clean, and th property was secure. They even have two County Sheriff cars which work out for security, and the DNR and Water Patrol frequent their restaurant. These are good folks, and I plan to go there again pretty quick, great value!

the rooms smelled real bad you can hear everything in the next room, the smell of cig smoke woke us up at 5:00 am from the room next to us, the restaurant has a ok salad bar but the food is bad and way to over priced. the bed is like sleeping on a floor they have a coffee pot in the room but you have to buy coffee and filter separate.

the rooms were smelly, the pool and hot tub was unusable, the beds were awful, couldn't sleep and the neighbors upstairs were not well behaved either! the place needs some major upgrading!!! would not stay here again, and too much money for the stay as well!!

Dirty rooms and pool. Broken and cracked windows in pool area. Pool ladder broken (missing step). Dirty hand towel left in shower from previous room occupants. No attendant available in main office after 9 pm. First night my family was awaken at 4 am by alarm going off in the room next door. Called office to turn off the alarm and the main office would not answer. Alarm continued for several hours until we finally left premises. Lodge claims 11 pm quite time with no tolerance for loud patrons. Drunk groups of men hanging out along rooms on both nights. Awaken at 3:30 am by group with no attendant available in main office. At checkout, main office provided only excuses of downed switchboard, repairs were called in and the drunk guys are really good guys (regulars). Would not recommend this Resort.
