We knew that this was a low budget truck stop hotel when we booked it but were still concerned about it. We just needed an inexpensive place to crash before traveling on the next day. The clerk offered to let me see the room first before deciding. She was very pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean and comparable to other low budget hotels, although there was a strong amonia smell. The bed seemed fine.

I think this place is okay for some people. I would not recommend it for women traveling alone as it is right next to a truck stop. I'm sure it would be fine for families looking to save a few dollars. Or people traveling with pets. It is a lot cheaper than most of the places nearby.

I mainly wrote this review because I disagree with previous posters. I didn't think it was as bad as I the reviews I read, but it is not a luxury 3, 4 or 5 star hotel either. You get what you pay for and should be realistic in your expectations. The front door was confusing because we had a hard time figuring out where the entrance was. This hotel really reminded me of the low priced places in Orlando, Florida. Just a place to get a little sleep before traveling on. Not the kind of place you spend your vacation. It's located in a very busy area right on the highway and again, next to a busy truck stop. The hotel also has a bar on the premises.

Very Bad Experience generally but note also the following:-

1. Poor TV channel line up - only very basic, cheap package.

2. No easily accessible power sockets to connect/charge equipment (Laptop, Ipod, GPS etc) Had to move furniture, dig around behind bed, disconnect lamps etc.

3. Air conditioner was not on when we checked into the room, even though it was over 100 degrees outside and even hotter in the room. It took 2-3 hours before the room was bearable because air conditioner had been off all day. Unacceptable in such heat. Presumably done to save on electricity costs.

4. Refrigerator unplugged - took hours to cool down and we had to fill the washbasin with ice to cool our drinks, meaning we couldn't use it. Again electricity costs come to mind - unacceptable in 100 degree heat.

5. Some of the lamps had bad lightbulbs. Presumably not changed to save electricity yet again.

All in all a very bad experience. We would sooner pay an extra few bucks and have the air conditioner already on, working bulbs in the lights, more power sockets and more TV channels.

Other hotels seem to manage this - why not this one? Won't be back in a hurry.

Room looked good at check-in . Could barley get door open ;complained ;.Maintenance fixed at it; little better... Carpet so soiled we had to wear shoes while in the room .Stayed five nights;room was cleaned two times. One of those times was after calling office.The property is very run down from lack of maintenance. No other rooms available for sixty-five miles or we would have moved. If this is the best DAYS INN has to offer we will never never stay in one again AUG.2---AUG 7 ROOM IOI A real pig sty.

We walked in and the place was nasty!! Mold growing in the bathroom, hair all over the sink and counter. It was like they just re rented the room with out cleaning for weeks... I went to the office and told him we were not staying because it was filthy and the manager told me it wasnt true, but would not come to the room and let me show him.... I hope Days Inn does some kind of review and makes them remove their name...... I have NEVER seen a days inn like this
