“Don't stay here!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2011

Do not stay at this hotel! There are a number of things that really aren't up to par.
First, it is really noisy! The walls are so thin that you can hear the televisions of the rooms next to you. Also you can hear the noisy cleaning staff. The cleaning staff is on the floor all day long! They start about 8 in the morning and they are still there at 8 in the evening!
So with all that cleaning you would think that the rooms are extra clean right? Wrong. There was hair in the bathtub when we checked in.
The place overall is kind of a dump. Everything is old. You can see where they sloppily tried to fix things but it is just all surface stuff like paint and grout. And they did a terrible job with that.
If you are on the side of the building with Chili's be prepared for restaurant stink! Not to mention the lovely dumpster that sits right outside.
When we checked in the air conditioner was on in the room. Which is weird because it is February. The air conditioner stinks. I can't really describe the smell. It almost burns your nostrils. When the heat comes on it smells a little too but not as bad as the air conditioner.
And speaking of stinky you can tell the bedding has been washed because the smell of the antiseptic laundry soap is overwhelming.
The internet is spotty and really SLOW! If you have work to get done like I did expect it to take twice as long.
And finally the front desk staff was really rude when we requested a late checkout. (Not that I really wanted to stay longer but my husband's seminar unexpectedly ran late.) It's fine if they don't have late checkout but there is a different way to say it other than, "No and if you're here at 2 I'll charge you for another day."
There are a couple of semi positives. The location is good. It is right in front of Wal-Mart, Target and several other stores and restaurants. However, as I mentioned earlier the walls are thin so you hear all of the traffic noise of people going to those places.
The only other positive is that the tv had a lot of channels. However, many of them were really fuzzy.
Overall, consider yourself warned about staying at this hotel. And if you pay full price you are a complete fool! We got it at a reduced price and I felt like we paid about 3 times too much for this dump. I read the other reviews from this website and I can't believe they are about the same hotel. I would have rated it 0 but it wouldn't let me.

“Not bad for the price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2011

After staying here 2 weeks, I'd say this hotel is average. Clean with large rooms when compared to other Best Western's. Manager is less than helpful but the front desk staff made up for the lack of service. Other than being woke up at 2am by housekeeping cleaning a room, I don't have a lot of complaints. Also nothing great stands out, if it's only for a short stay I'd probably stay here again. The total lack of respect for their paying guests that was shown by allowing housekeeping to fully clean a room, vacum and all at 2am on the 2nd floor was a little much for me.

“Decent place to stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2010

It was a nice place to sleep. The pool looked alright but wasn't open yet. The restaurant was empty but the food was pretty good. The rooms were clean and it was very quiet. Definately a little hard to find because it takes a few turns off the Interstate to get there. Very convenient drive to restaurants and stores.

“Great rooms, convenient to a lot of restaurants”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 August 2010

While the motel is a bit away from the downtown area, it was a good place to stay. There are a lot of restaurants in the area. The room was very nice and clean. Internet was spotty as I had trouble staying connected. Typical breakfast for Best Western - with their waffles, juice, coffee, fruit and cereal. There is a Chili's on site.

“As advertised...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2010

Check in was fast, we got a good rate, and we had read most of the reviews here, and found it to be as advertised. The outdoor pool was nice, we ate at the attached Chili's (just OK). The area has many options for dinner. Down the road is the Children's House, like a museum/learning area that appears to be a great place to spend a couple of hours with younger kids. We don't normally stay with this brand, however we would stay here again.
