This motel was an inside-corridor motel. The lobby was stark and could use some fresh paint and warm accents. Although they allow pets, this Super 8 charged the most of the three we stayed at on our trip and seemed to have the least care. The area for walking the dog had not been maintained. There was old feces and lots of flies. This area was at the side and back of the motel. The area behind the motel had not been cleaned in a while. I blame pet owners for not being considerate. However, if you offer pet facilities, the motel should keep an eye on the area. The WIFI was not working. The staff seemed puzzled, but I've seen that reaction before--it's usually out and they don't want to pay to get it fixed. There were few options for eating in the area of the motel. I think a McDonald's and one other choice. If you drove a few blocks, there were more options, but nothing very inviting. The breakfast fare was bagels, cereal, & waffles. It was poorly stocked and the cream cheese was communal (a bar or container of cream cheese in which others could dip their utensils) and not a single-serve portion. Had I not been the first to dip in, I wouldn't have. The room was relatively clean but certainly well-used.

I thank you maam for your wonderful feedback. Since your review, Nov. 2010 we have freshly painted our walls, frontdesk, entrance and added some more light to the area. Back of motel area is well maintined daily and pet owners are given bags to use if they are to use the pet area. Kennett is a small town but the things we do have in town like Mc.D, taco b, burger K, mexican restaurant, chinese restaurant, walmart are with in walking distance to our property. We have expanded our breakfast variety and now serve Waffles, donuts, milk, cereal, OJ, apple juince, bagels, coffee, fruits, and oatmeal. Our cream cheese has always been in individual packages, but on that day we may have ran out of packages and since individually packed cream cheese is not sold anywhere in kennett we may have put the container sold in stores so our guests would not go without cream cheese for one day. We did bring cheese from hour away the next day. I apologize for the inconvenience. Our internet carrier company has been changed and is working excellent since Feb. 2011.

“Cleanliness in question”
Room was okay.....glad AC worked. Beds somewhat hard. Wireless internet did not work. Breakfeast was a joke....never did eat there. Flies hovering over food. Swimming pool was very very small and not used because of how small it was. Entry to hotel was very hot. People were friendly but hotel was not clean.

We thank you for your comments. We take pride in our clean and friendly property. We have received A in our QA inspections and we try our best to keep it clean and friendly. Our breakfast things have always been in plastic cases with doors. We will try even harder to make sure that our rooms are pleasing to guests. thank you

“Terrible Experience, would never recommend!”
Terrible experience. Cheap uncomfortable beds, small color TV, Ice Machine - broken, Internet Service - didn't work (was told they often have to reboot), breakfast - 1 waffle batter - had to ask twice for more, no orange or apple juice in the machine, no milk in the thermos - they did provide milk after asking twice, 2 old looking doughnuts, and 4 small chocolate covered doughnuts (the kind that come in a package of 6) in the pastry dish. They should not advertise or charge for internet, ice machines, and breakfast if they are not going to provide them...I would never recommend, and never stay there again,. I have been told since this visit that many visitors to Kennett say in a neighboring town.
