“Nice hotel for early flight in the morning”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

Great airport hotel! Quiet and clean. Free shuttle. Long term parking much less here than at airport.
A free breakfast would have been nice. No complaints.
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We really like it. Very friendly staff from the front desk to the shuttle driver. Shuttle is every 15 minutes and free. Long term parking at the hotel is cheaper than at the airport.

Room Tip: We have never had a bad room. They are all about the same.

“Just OK for one night stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

Cons:

Hotel seemed a little worn; I'm a nonsmoker and room did have some stale cigarette odor; hotel dining was more expensive than I think was justified.

Pros:

Close to airport with shuttle service; I just needed to sleep for one night and get on the road the next morning, and hotel was right on the highway; at least the hotel has dining available in an area that has few restaurant options I'm aware of.

-----
Although the cigarette odor does not bother me, it's worth noting that in the room I had it was present, so if you're sensitive to that sort of thing be sure to check your room first and ask for another if it's there. Bed was fine, slept well, it does take some major noise to wake me but I can say there was no major noise at least. Hotel was rated at 3-1/2 stars, but did not feel like such. Had stayed the week before at Comfort Inn near airport, and despite construction in the building there, the Comfort Inn was cleaner, felt newer, and provided better value, in particular in having some form of complimentary breakfast and coffee.

After checking prices at hotel restaurant, I decided to hit the road early the next morning and find something for breakfast. My GPS routed me to I-435 instead of I-29, and it was roughly 20 miles before I saw signs of civilization - should have checked TripAdvisor for suggestions before I got rolling. But McDonalds still was a better value than the hotel restaurant.

Bottom line - I would not choose this hotel given an option, BUT I booked hotel via Yahoo travel more or less at last minute, the price was right, and functionally the hotel did what I needed, so I'm good with it.

Room Tip: Check out dining alternatives BEFORE booking room here - or plan on getting an early start and findi...

“Very pleased with our stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

We stayed here to be close to the airport. This is a great location for that and Zona Rosa. I read that they have a shuttle to both places, but we did not try it out. Our room was very clean, and we had no concerns about it. I was impressed that they had the peephole covers on the doors. I have not encountered that at too many places. I was a little surprised by the shower head in the shower. Maybe it is because I had just come from a hotel with a deluxe shower head, but I immediately noticed that this one was very no frills. We loved the workout area. They had several treadmills and ellipticals. Each one had its own television. They also provided headphones with disposable ear pads in case you did not bring your own. In addition there were weights and an open area in the room. The swimming pool was being renovated while we were there, so we did not try it out. It looked very large though. We really liked the breakfast buffet. It had more of the items that I like such as granola, berries, muffins, nuts, and fruit. It also had the traditional breakfast meats and eggs, but it seems like you can get that at any buffet. Finally, I would like to comment on others observations that this place is dated. I'm not sure what those people expect. Yes, they do have a lot of dark paneling, and there is not a lot of marble. This may be an older style, but everything is neat and clean. I didn't notice anything that was torn or needed to be repaired. When I think of "dated", I picture worn carpets and torn wallpaper. I understand that hotels can't redecorate every year unless I want to pay for it every time I stay there. I would much prefer to have a nice clean place to stay, and I am satisfied with my stay here.

“Nice place to stay near airport!”

Although slightly outdated, this place is solid, quiet and a nice hotel , esp. if you can snag it on Priceline. There's free wi-fi in the lobb,y but they want to snag $10 for it in your room????
There were 3 seperate wedding receptions at this location while we were there, yet the noise wasn't objectionable. No airplane noise either - despite being just across the interstate.
There's not a lot of dining options in this location but driving down south to Barry Rd. is about 10 mins and theres dozens of venues there!
