Great location near the plaza. We wanted to see the Christmas lights and this is not far from Crown Center either. The room was nice. The pools were very nice. Two different pools -and a very attractive pool setting. The service was outstanding. From the person at the front desk, the service man who fixed our television and the shuttle driver they were extremely friendly and got the job done. Only complaint is that the area were they serve breakfast is too small not nearly enough room to sit and kinda inconvient for accessing the food. They were very busy when we stayed there between Christmas and New Years. I did not need the wi-fi service but if I did I would hate paying for it.

It's usually hard to go wrong with an Embassy Suites. Sometimes you'll hit a property that has yet to be renovated, has older bath fixtures, tube TVs and slow internet, but i think Hilton is expediting the renovations.

This property is in a good location, close to the 'Plaza' area of Kansas City. I'm not too familiar with the city and was here strictly for business, but the hotel offered a shuttle until 10:30 to area restaurants and the 'Plaza' which was a nice outdoor mall and had a good selection of restaurants.

The rooms have been recently refurbished, the bathroom fixtures were updated and there was a lot of natural light.

The manager's reception only had potato chips...this has gone downhill at most properties through the years, and this was no exception here.

Valet parking is relatively cheap, IMHO, at $15/day. The property is smaller, but clean and the staff went out of our way to respond to requests quickly.

We checked in and had to use the shower. It plugged up and had standing water in it. We asked for a different room. The room we got was filled with pubic hair on the bathroom floor. It was very disappointing. Even though we used reward points, I am not sure we would stay here again. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful.

A decent stay at this Embassy Suites. Room size is ample. Bathrooms are small, but have the essentials. I like that we can sleep a family of four relatively comfortably in separate rooms (kids on the pull-out). Beware: being across the street from a hospital, there are LOTS of ambulance sirens. The quality of the breakfast has deteriorated a bit since my last stay a year ago. The hotel has added fee-for-parking, which was new to me, as well. Pool was a bit over-chlorinated which bothered my kids.
