The property is a converted historic residential hotel a block away from a bustling commercial and entertainment area. Excellent location and the hotel itself is comfortable and well appointed. My room had lots of light with windows on two walls. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well-lit, including excellent lighting inside the tub, which is so rare. Little flourishes from the olden days, like milk closets in the hall walls, were nice touches. My room was quiet, set off in a corner. There was a connecting door, which I try to avoid, but I was assured no one was staying in the adjacent room for the 2 days of my stay. I had problems connecting to the wi-fi; the desk clerk troubleshot with me and got it resolved. The restaurant is only open for breakfast but the service was pleasant and the ambience there was fine.
