Perfect location for convention visits - 1 block walk, and close to a lot of bars and restaurants Beautiful old building and recently renovated. Feels small. Polite and friendly staff. Great find.

Get the suite, it is worth the extra money. One block to the power and light district and H&R BLOCK building

The hotel was historic and had many beautiful features in the common areas. The rooms were were average and clean. The first day we were there the internet would not work and I called the front desk to have a woman give the the contact information for the service provider and told me to "call a technician I am too busy". I did not feel that was my responsibility. The next day I had much better luck with a guy named David who was very helpful. He went out of his way to help me straighten out a problem with our reservation for the following night. It is noisy but you have to expect that due to the location in the power and light district. Overall I would stay here again.

The President is a lovely old hotel that is tastefully refurbished. The rooms are comfortable but not well enough lit. There were only bedside lamps and a desk lamp so it is impossible to read anywhere at night but in bed or sitting at the desk. The fitness center is excellent by hotel standards with a good range of modern equipment. I was there just a week before Christmas and the hotel was really noisy with holiday parties. There were also a lot of drunk people in the elevators and liquid (who knows what) on the elevator floor. I will go back again - but not close to Christmas
