WHAT A $4!T Hole. We checked in with Cash, asked for a non-smoking room, the room had an ash tray by the phone and a burn hole in the bed spread. The smell was unacceptable. So bad we left, and the front desk would not refund our money. It took me 3 years to talk my wife into trying Motel 6 and what a letdown. There were NO TOWELS in the room. It was just a disaster. I have stayed in lodging all over the world and never had conditions this bad, even in third world countries. Tom would be humiliated. I have lived in military tents in undesirable locations, and would choose that over this place. I think you can get hourly rates there, if you know what I mean.

The staff was nice, the room clean and comfortable. A night clerk went out of her way to give us a map to the KC Zoo which she marked for us making it easy to find. Wake up calls were on time with a friendly greeting. My fiance was pleased with the cool tempature of our room. We were plesed with our over all visit and would recommed to others! Mary L

We stayed here for 1 night! I am not sure how to start this but here it goes.

Small, old, beds were flat, pillows were flatter, carpet left a yucky feeling on your feet/socks, toilet didn't like to flush very well. It was fairly quite that night, but the front desk clerk was not very friendly...acted like I was imposing on her...not to mention the girls that were there later, not sure if they worked there or were friends of clerks.

Overall, YUCK......never again and to think I paid even 50 bucks for that room, I would have slept in my car.

Do not stay here! I made a list of the things that were wrong with the room, some were housekeeping issues, others were safety issues. Here's the list:
There were 2 beds - one bed had no top sheet, one bed had a top sheet but it was "short sheeted". One pillow had no pillow case, one pillow was so disgustingly lumpy it should have been thrown out years ago, the bathroom smelled like urine, garbage was left in the garbage can, the back of the desk chair had something sticky on it. Safety issues - the frames on the windows were broken so that the windows could no longer be latched closed, the lights by the bed didn't work. And one other problem, when I tried to call the service number that they had given me to call if I had problems with the wifi (which I did) rang through to a Missouri cell phone of a guy who was definitely NOT the wifi tech.
I gave the above list to the front staff in the morning and no apology was offered, just the following explanation: we're remodeling the hotel starting at the other end so that room will be remodeled eventually. Well, the first room they tried to put me in was in the "remodeled" wing of the hotel and that one wasn't any better and the air conditioning was broken so I had them move me to a different room. Just don't stay here, it's not good at all.
