When I arrived at this hotel, I was informed that my request for a cot could not be fulfilled. When we got to our room, the toilet was broken (we had to fix it ourselves by reattaching the chain in the toilet), the ventilation fan sounded like a garbage disposal, and when we requested additional towels, we were told to come down and get them ourselves. I realize this is a budget hotel, but the staff was extremely unfriendly, and our room was in bad shape. In addition, there was a Cadillac Escalade in the parking lot that had been broken into (its rear window was smashed) and was looted. This hotel is not a bargain at any price.

Helpful staff, quiet, okay breakfast and good housekeeping personnel, but the furniture and decor are run down and shabby. With new furniture, carpeting, paint, and repairs of the many small problems (missing outlet covers, small gouges in walls) this could be a nice hotel. But then it would probably cost more.

The room we stayed in was a fair quality for the price we paid ($60/night). The furniture seemed clean and the room was quiet despite the hotel being full with fans in town for the Yankees/Royals series. The front desk manager was helpful and quick at getting us checked-in and checked-out, and the hotel is very close to the highway but again noise was not a problem. I would recommend this property for someone wanting an average place to stay on a budget...it's nothing amazing but our experience was of a good quality.

I agree, this hotel is a dump. There were stains on the bed and the furniture and carpet was damaged. This probably is an exception, the Baymont in North Kansas City is much better, I have stayed at both thru Priceline.

SE Kansas City in general is bad, some of the restaurants are not safe to eat at, and the other motels in that area are bad as well. Unless you are desperate, stay in Overland Park or north of the Missouri River.
