I'm embarrassed to admit I stayed in this dump but feel an obligation to warn anyone considering a stay here. This hotel was the new low for me, the one all other seemingly bad hotels in the future will be compared against. It was so very bad that even the fact they paid us back for the room charge didn't make up for the time wasted in this dirty, horrible place. The phone didn't work, the remote for the TV didn't work, there was no iron or ironing board, then the iron they brought was broken and I had to go back for another, no blankets on the bed (just a sheet and dirty polyester bedspread which I was told was a "European comforter"- not....), sprayed-on sticky spots on all the mirrors, dead bugs along the edges of the room, holes in the lampshades, mold in the bathroom, food stains on the walls - really filthy. The towel rack in the bathroom was SCOTCH TAPED together - we could not believe it! Someone from the hotel actually taped this together an left it for a guest to see thinking it was perfectly ok! The outlets didn't have covers on them; if I'd been staying there with small children I would have packed them up and left. After numerous visits to the front desk (since the phone was broken), I asked several times for the manager and was told "the manager is on the grounds but not available", instead I herded the head of housekeeping into the room and pointed all this out and kept asking "Is this acceptable?" which of course she had to agree it wasn't so they refunded my room charge. The desk person then told me I was also being credited another $20 on top of the room being comped but of course that didn't happen - what a surprise. The other guests we spoke to in the breakfast room all had their own horror stories. This place should be shut down - don't stay here and check out the pics.

Yep, that's how bad this place is - the breakfast floor was so sticky my shoes stuck to the floor; the bathroom light fixture had no cover, the rug and furnishing are as old as the hills and the whole place gave a feeling that the Dept of Health would close it down in a neo-second,

This was the most awful hotel stay I've ever had. When we got here, the front desk associate was talking on the phone for 10 mins, before helping me, then tried to charge me AGAIN for the room, all the while I had prepaid thru my travel agent. The associate had on a bandana, and the longest fingernails I had ever seen. The entire hotel wreaks of smoke, even in the non smoking rooms. The fitted sheet did not fit the bed, but the bugs climbing the walls didn't seem to care about that, OR the dirty comforter. The Lights are dim, and the staff are shady characters.

Went to a Royals game and Power & Light district and stayed at this hotel. I have stayed here in the past and I can tell that the rooms have been newly renovated and it felt great staying in pretty much brand new rooms. I had a good stay and the breakfast was great. It's a great place for the price.
