My husband and I had a great stay at the Crowne Plaza hotel. Great location to walk to Kid Rock concert at Midland theater. Hotel was clean and updated. Wonderful view out our window of downtown KC - could see Sprint Center, Power and Light, etc. My husband enjoyed using the sleep number bed. Would definitely stay there again.

Husband and I redeemed a gift certificate for a king executive suite. This hotel overlooks the Power & Light District and on the 23rd floor, we had great city views. Location is great for walking to shopping and events. Room was decorated with updated furnishings, Sleep Comfort beds that worked fine, huge closet, high def. TV, free wi- fi. No microwave and older, small frig. We could hear the elevators a little through our wall as we were located close to them.
Room was very clean. Elevators moved quickly. We didn't wait for them at all. Check-in went smoothly. Attached parking garage is $13.00 a day. You will need your hotel key card to use garage. Parking slots are small- made for sedans, not SUVS or trucks. We found lots of open parking on Level 5.
Special place to stay for Christmas shopping. We would return.

The decor was great but very dark...felt like I was getting ready in a closet. Stains on the carpet. Elevator on the fritz..never knew what floor you were going to! Pillows awful.

Stayed here in October 2011 when in town for a conference being held at the Westin (didn't want to pay Westin's rates). Took the CP hotel shuttle to/from the Westin without any problem. My room was terrific, even with the Sleep Number Bed, although that did take some adjusting until I figured out what I liked. Not sure that was a favorite aspect of the hotel, but manageable. Overall I thought my room was fantastic, and the hotel location was great as well. Loved the drinks/apps for being a Platinum member! I would DEFINATELY recommend the hotel if you're considering it.
