Family trip on the Fourth of July. Only one person at front desk so check in took VERY long. Would not honor the current special of $75 visa card for staying 2 weekend nights, but would "look into it" stating it was due to having two separate Priority Rewards Points accounts. Told us to call corporate as their hands were tied. After first night we attempted to check out early due to the foul smell - however staff said we were still being billed for the full amount due to holiday weekend guidelines and truthfully all other hotels were booked, so we had no choice. They offered us a complimentary snack from their basket of goodies behind the desk as an apology for the issues we encountered.

Room had a smell coming from the A/C and the door to the room wouldn't even open fully due to uneven entryway tile. Had to lay towels over our pillows to sleep because the linens also smelled. (not sure if it was from the A/C?)

Worst Holiday Inn Express experience we've ever had. I would advise staying elsewhere. Lots of headache, poor service, poor quality of construction. I give it an "F" for a grade.

Stayed here as a Quality Inn, but as Holiday Inn Express it has been nicely updated. We really enjoyed the breakfast service by Monica. Our granddaughter loved the pool!

I"ve recently had to travel quite a bit to Kansas City, mostly for business, sometimes for pleasure. Several months ago I randomly chose this hotel for a two night stay. And then I've stayed there 3 more times since!! It isn't always the closet to my meeting site, but I don't care because the personal service I receive is phenomenal. The staff goes out of there way to accomodate my "extra" wants and needs. The free breakfast is varied and yummy. The entire hotel is nicely decorated and the rooms are clean, clean, clean and comfortable. I can't say enough about this hotel-and its wonderful team of employees.

I stayed at Holiday Inn Express North on Macon Street. I was attending two shows at the Northtown Opry on Swift Avenue. Beds were very comfortable. A.\/C in the halls, Nice comfortable and clean rooms. A good breakfast but no waffle maker like most motels have. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Some of our friends complained that they were kept awake by noisey people on 3rd floor but on second floor where I stayed, most were quiet. I will definitely stay there again. This neighborhood does not have many restaurants but it is not the fault of the motel.
