We only stayed one night but were truly delighted with the experience. Be advised that this isn't a property for anyone expecting the shiny Hampton Inn experience. It isn't totally renovated and sometimes appears to be a work in process. However, our suite on the 6th floor (#645) was spacious and well appointed. In particular, having two bathrooms was a big plus. I've attached a photo. The bedding was very comfortable and noise wasn't an issue. These are both big criteria for our travel enjoyment.
The breakfast was truly unbelieveable. The night before you are given a menu with an extraordinary selection (lobster bisque, pork chops, eggs benedict, lamb with artichoke hearts, etc. - it went on and on). Order anything and as much as you like and it all is served in a dining room that will take you back in time. Quite a memorable experience.
Our dinner the evening before at the Savoy Grille was extra special since it included a detailed history of the property from one of the managers, Curtis.
All in all, a great experience and would be rated higher if the property was fully restored.
