The front desk representative, Candy, was the first and only pleasant thing about our stay. She was so cheerful and what a help with knowledge of the area l! However, the rooms were mediocre and being told to the open the window to cool the room, yea the thermostat couldn't be turned down. At least we had a "hello" and "good bye" from Candy!

As for the building...it's nice. Cozy even. But the real value here is the SUPERB people working here. From the owner, Doug, right on down. Eugene drove us around town for dinner and such and was very friendly. Steve kept us in beverages in snacks throughout the day during our business conference, always pleasant and on top of his game. Barmaid, Brandi, was very friendly and attentive with an excellent memory of people's favorites. Travis at the desk was very helpful and friendly, but you can't top Ms. Rita at breakfast time!!! Ms. Rita is a very sweet, delightful and friendly lady with a sincere appreciation to the value of customer satisfaction. You absolutely MUST allow this lady cook you up a waffle or an Omellette!!
I'm coming back in late March, and am looking forward to it. It's always hard having to be away from home, but the staff at "The Q" make it a lot easier.

I just had the unique pleasure of staying at the Q Hotel for a week long Ambulance Service Manager class, and I think I speak for all 39 of us in the group when I say it was one of the best experiences we've ever had. The staff was amazingly helpful and accommodating. Miss Rita, Reggie, and Eugene were all standouts. I wish I could remember the names of everyone I interacted with, without exception they were all outstanding. The rooms were bright and clean, the lounge was a wonderful gathering place for us, and we never once had a need that wasn't attended to. I personally look forward to coming back for our second week in March, and making this my hotel of choice for any future trips to KC.

Rooms are very nice. Staff was wonderful. Have Miss. Rita make you one of her award winning omelets.
