“Just what we were looking for!”

My daughter and I stayed for a week in Dec. 2011 at Lyn Hainstock's "Casa Dulces Suenos" in Sayulita, Nayarit.
The house itself is lovely, with a tropical entry garden, and 6 self-contained and roomy suites with cooking facilities. At the top level is a charming patio sitting area with view. Because the kitchen in our suite [Orchid] was so spacious and well-supplied, we were inspired to cook several dinners with local ingredients...fresh tuna, prawns, peppers, cilantro , lime and garlic... with a side of olive bread from a local bakery. And papaya for desert...
I think it was the location of our vacation home which added so much to the delight of spending a week in Sayulita. I felt that we were part of the surrounding countryside, first walking along the river, then heading through small Mexican neighbourhoods, at times greeting local residents with "Buenas Tardes", before reaching our front gate. The walk home is short, but it does remove one from the noises of town and allows one to wake with the sound of roosters rather than all-night revellers.
Lyn [who seasonally occupies a suite in the house] was always available to give us suggestions. In fact, on our first day, she took me grocery shopping and gave me a tour of the town in her car - which was extremely helpful in getting oriented. In the suite is a very helpful binder with suggestions for local restaurants, excursions around town etc., but I found it was wonderful to be able to count on the resources that Lyn and asst. manager Eduardo were able to personally share with us. We were treated to several excursions with Lyn driving to near-by towns to attend amazing local markets, plus a guided walk to an isolated and pristine beach with Eduardo that would have been difficult to find on our own.
And did I mention Chihuahuas? Lyn has 3 of the most adorable small dogs who helped cure me from missing our own dog too much.
Sayulita is a delightful destination, but the chance to stay at Casa Dulces Suenos definitely made our week a most enjoyable experience.

“What a lovely spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 April 2011

Wife and I had a very nice winter break in the "Tulip Suite" for a little over a week. The place is very clean and away from the busy downtown area. The down side to this is the early morning roosters telling you to get up. The hostess Lyn has been in the hospitality business for a long time and this is shown by her attention to the guests. A short walk takes you to the town square or the beach and a walk of about 45 minutes takes you to a beach that is just like something out of the travel brochures. Thanks to Lyn and her dogs for making our stay so pleasant.

“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 March 2011

Sayulita is a happy Mexican village on a nice beach. We stayed for a week at the Sayulita suites and enjoyed Lynne's hospitality. Our room was clean, comfortable and had a kitchen and shower. We bought local fish and cooked many of our meals which we ate at the table in the front patio or on the rooftop terrace. Lots of lovely plants everywhere. Road to walk to town dusty-but this is Mexico. It took less than 5 mins to walk into town, to the beach or to the buses. Beaches are long and lovely with gentle surf.
We had a wonderful holiday.

“Sayulita Suites is my favorite place to stay in Sayulita Mexico”

My favorite place in Mexico.
I have returned three years in a row to a little Mexican Villiage called Sayulita. Sayulita is situated about 40 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta. Its really become a bustling little villiage, attracting young and old alike, the local people are very friendly and helpful. Many canadians and americans alike seem to come back year after year enjoying the beaches, surfing, fishing, horseback riding, zip lines etc etc.
Also for the past three years I continue to stay in the same wonderful place called Sayulita Suites at Casa Dulces Suenos. I always stay in the same one bedroom suite and now it feels like home, its comfortable, quiet, clean and a well cared for building, with many beautiful flowers and shrubs, its gated and has a wonderful private courtyard.
Sayulita Suites is only a short five minute walk to the square and beach.
The owner of Sayulita Suites year after year has continuely added new and fun features, two days a week right on site they have spanish lessons for any of us gringos that want to either learn or brush up on their spanish plus next year I am looking forward to joining in on their cooking classes, yoga and whatever else they will be doing. I love it and definitely looking forward to next years visit.
